Hey, they could always put Will or Brainstorm on the watch list.

I thought they promised to change the 'no changes = no announcement' policy (insofar that there even was any concrete policy regarding the matter) after the complaints they got last time they did that.

With World Champs Coverage flying all over the place they probably just didn't get to the list yet. Remember last time? It took like a week to post anything about it on MTG.com

Is there actually a printed 'watch list' with the DCI?

There used to be one for Type One. Force of Will was the only card on it.

There's no printed watchlist that I'm aware of, but articles on bans/restrictions generally mention some combination of Force of Will, Mishra's Workshop, Mana Drain, Dark Ritual and Bazaar of Baghdad for Vintage, and Goblins for Legacy. As an aside, some of the former Pros working for RnD play quite a bit of proxy Vintage, so claims that RnD don't care about the Eternal formats are nonsense.

I thought Force of Will was always on the extended watchlist. I do remember seeing an Extended watchlist printed some years ago, and Force of Will was the only card on it. Of course, they solved the problem by rotating the entire block out of the format, so...
