Yeah the top 8 was pretty hot.  A big thanks to Dan for letting Brassman and myself play even though we were running almost an hour late. Gogo gadget flat tire!  I lost a heartbreaker to the other big mouth in the top 8.  Travis and I did not have quiet games.  :p

Im finishing up a mini report over in the UW fish primer thread along with things I liked and did not like about my latest version of the deck.  In a nutshell, Daze was fantastic.

Not sure if the RI crew will make another one of these for a while, mainly due to distance.  It's roughly 2 hours without a flat tire. :p

Thanks again to Dan for holding the tourney, it was well run as always.

I love it how the deck results at Myriad change entirely each month. For example, last month the t8 consisted of Fish, Bomberman, and my favorite, White Weenie. This month it went Gifts, Fish, Stax, Ichorid, and my favorite, The Mountains Win Again!

I was not able to make it to this one, but I cannot wait until the 11th.

Congrat's, Sara. I'll bet you were stoked.

I have to ask, what is with everyone and their 1 pyropillar and 1 null rod? These cards are staple disruption spells which allow less powerful deck a shot at winning in big time situations. I guess it is in order for me to reveal my current deck and show you what disruption really means on nov 11th.

I split in the finals with Travis and I was playing Gifts.  I actually didn't lose a single match all day.  I ended up going 6-0-1 and then splitting in the finals.

I understand why you the number of these cards should be increased, but since most TMWA builds run Enlightened Tutor and sometimes even Demonic Tutor, it is like having 2-3 of each card because you can search for it whenever it is actually needed. Congradulations on the win, I am glad the deck has been doing well lately.

A tutor might act as a psudo copy in terms of raw numbers, it dosent take the place of actually having more than 1 copy when dealing with countermagic. In my vast experience with "hate" decks redundancy esp when fightning against a surperior deck, tends to be more helpful than cramming more tricks in because of tutors.
