I'm stationed in Biloxi, MS until late May, and I'm wondering if there are any local card shops or players in the area.  I've got a lot of down time on the weekends, and would really appreciate someone to play with until I get back to Northern IL.  Anyone familiar with the area?

This includes Gulfport, Mobile, and as far away as New Orleans or Jackson, MS.

The best card store in that area is Jaks. Its right outside gate 7 on Pass Road across the street from that shitty car dealership. Its right inbetween that Mr. Greeks and Subway. They hold FNM and Tournaments on Saturday starting at 2. After the Saturday tournament they draft. On Sunday Extended is on the schedule but I hear nobody shows up to that. My little brother informed me that Sonny, the owner, changed ALL the tournaments (FNM and Saturday Tourneys) to standard. But if I heard wrong it may be this rotation:

1st Saturday - Draft
2nd Saturday - Type 1
3rd Saturday - Extended
4th Saturday - Type 2

It was that rotation for about 2 years. But I would go check it out if I were you. They have really good prizes for the amount of people that play. If theres 12 players its for a box and entry fee is 5 bucks. Sonny is very generous with his prizes and I would highly recommend this store. GL Bro.

Ryan I'm very glad to see you're still keeping with magic.  It's people like you and my team that I can't quit this game.    Mr. Green

On a related note (although this is quite a longshot), are there any persons that are currently stationed at Keesler AFB that are into the game?  I've seen a couple here and there, but at first glance they don't look like much more than casual players.  I'm not sure how much time I'll have to get away from the base, so someone local would be appreciated.

I live about 30 miles north of New Orleans.  The local group of magic players often play on the weekends.  We usually play later on in the evenings.  If you'ld be interested in joining us, you're definitely welcome.  Just send me a PM.
