Does anyone else here play this game? I just started, and I am loving it! I've only played 7 games, but I am addicted like no other. I'd really like to start playing people I know, since I dislike playing randoms (like MWS, but pox seems to have fewer morons playing).
For those not in the know...
PoxNoraIt's like Magic and Chess (Advance Wars is a better comparison, but I think more people play chess here) combined. And if you put a little money in the game, it gains RPG-like qualities.
There are tutorials, but if you're lazy, I can sum it up for you. You have a battlegroup (deck) of 20 runes (cards). These can be champions (creatures), spells, equipment or relics (artifacts). They all cost a certain amount of nora (mana). You spend your turns deploying champions on to the map, moving them about to either attack other champions, take nora fonts (key areas that when you control it, it gives you more nora per turn) and attacking the opponent's shrine. The last one is key, since destorying the opponent's shrine ends the game.
You can play for free, using mediocre starter decks. There's one avaliable for each faction (color...kind of) and you can switch which one to use to keep it interesting. Or you can buy credits which can buy booster packs--full of random runes...or you can do what I did: buy 800-1300 credits, go to the trader threads with a specific set of 20 runes in mind and search around for the best deals on those runes. I was able to make my deck for about $11, and it's pretty sweet. Plus, if you purchase your own runes, your champions get experience after each game--win or lose. You can use these exp points to upgrade their stats, make their abilities better, or even aquire new ones. However, upgrading a champion increases its nora cost, so you have to spend points wisely.
I'm rambling. If you currently play, let's do so! If not, I encourage you to get acclimated with it and join us!
