First off, this isn't as much of a rules question as much as a combo does it work question.  When I was playing online, this guy put down a Nomad's en-Kor, a Daru Spirituralist, and a Starlit Sanctum and said he had infinite life.  I asked him why it worked because I couldnt figure it out but he didnt know English so he couldnt tell me, so...can you tell me how it works if it does?

The Nomad's ability to redirect damage can target the Spiritualist, even if there is no damage on the stack (or any danger of damage on the stack).  The Spiritualist, having been targeted, gets +0/+2, over and over again.  The Sanctum sac's clerics to gain life.

It works.

One thing to clarify on this.  You cannot actually gain infinite life.  There is no such thing in magic.  With such a combo you may gain a very large amount of life, but it must be a finite number.  People often say 'infinite' in conversation because it's easier than "arbitrarily large," but in actuallity, arbitrarily large is what it is.

Regarding Clariax, I am aware of not being able to gain infinite life for I posted a question on if it existed a few months ago.  It was merely the term the opponent used.  Thank you for the responses.
