Every time I type P-I-R-A-T-E on The Mana Drain, it converts it into "ninja." Did I miss something?

There's a word filter as part of the software. The primary use is filtering out MWS set tags, but there are a few other amusements as well (PIrate -> ninja is one, 0ff of -> of is another).

Wasn't the P1rate filter installed shortly after the second P1rate themed Johny Depp hit theatres?
That's certainly when I noticed it.
Could a motion be made to take out this filter?
It causes confusion in deck lists whenever someone top 8's with Cloud P1rates.
Perhaps some other creature type could be censored for a change?
It would be awesome if the moderators ran a TMD poll,
to vote for a different word to be filtered.

There are a few other filters too, but mostly for common misspellings. This one is mostly for amusement value.

"Robot" used to be changed into "big artifact" or something - when did this change? January 26 at about 7:30pm.

Thanks for the explanations.
I first noticed it when Demonic Attorney responded to a post I had on FF12 and he kept calling Vaan a "sky ninja." Then I responded to him and noticed I had called him a "sky ninja" as well. I thought "Hmmm I must have seen what he wrote and copied it without thinking."
Something really stood out though when I saw an apparent typo in the Extirpate thread and it said "Exninja." That's when I knew something was up. I thought there was a filter but couldn't figure out what the inside joke was behind it.
