Yeah, Bomberman pretty much tore things up at the last Meandeck Open too.

Anybody have any more information?  All I know is that Juangamer made top four too!

Go, Juangamer!  Go!

Cleveland gamers for the win!

I placed 10th with Belcher, losing to Brassy and some guy named Peter playing Long in the last round of the swiss (he made top 8).  I may or may not write up something about it, depending on how tired I feel tomorrow and what I can get done on my PhD Qualifying Exam.

I lost to Juan in the 5th round of swiss (he was able to draw in after that).  Aven Mindcensor was a raping.

The Fish player was playing UWb Fish splashing for Duress and Bob; he's a local (Bennett Toms).  Last I heard he was up a game against Mastriano (who savagely beat me through 2 of my misplays).

I figured I'd go to this. I've had a very difficult yet enjoyable past month on the road, that was abruptly ended when the transmission died in my car, so I'm out $3k and I had no car for over a week. I was living in a hotel in Charleston when the car died. While staying there I heard that Cullen Cox lives in Charleston from Cody Vinci. So I contacted Cullen about getting a ride to Roanoke. Not only did he offer me a ride, but he helped find me a place to live. insane keep! Thanks again Cullen.

The tournament was kind of a bust though. I ran GWS Long with 4 street wraiths. I lost to Demars round 1 (I got lucky game 1 and pulled it out through some fumbling, but game 2 and 3 I mulled both games and he opened with Ancestral both times, so those were over pretty quick). I win my next 2 rounds, but I then lost a really close match to Meadbert. It came down to him on the play in game 3. I mulled to 6 and kept a hand with Lotus + LED + Tutor, he played a chalice and then I lost. I then lost to flash the next round and I was pissed. But the last round I had an epic match with teammate Jeff Folinus. He wins the dice roll and turn 1 kills me. Game 2, I'm on the play and turn 1 kill him. Game 3 he's on the play and cast a turn 1 Jar and passes only for me to turn 1 kill him again. 3 games in 4 turns. Crazy. Those were my only turn 1 kills of the weekend.

Saturday night I drank with the ICBM crew. Those guys are hilarious. For some reason, we played the flash vs. GAT matchup for at least 30 games because GAT is really fun to play and flash is really funny to play.

The weekend was a great time despite my 3-3 performance. A second day would have been nice for a chance to redeem myself though.
