Scenario:

Player 1 targets Player 2's creature with the Ice side of Fire/Ice.
Can Player 2 Misdirect the Ice to another creature in play?

Seems fine to me but my logic has been challenged so I wanted to get confirmation.  The challenge was:

Fire/Ice has 2 parts that are seen on resolution so it can't be Misdirected.

When you cast a split spell, the game treats the other side as though it's not even there. Ice can be Misdirected.

Also, it doesn't matter how many parts a spell has, or how many different things it may do or be able to do.  All that matters for Misdirection is how many targets the spell on the stack has.
