So 190 people showed up with their T2 deck.
Mine was Glittering Control with ZERO Loxodon Hierarch's in the sidebard, because there weren't enough Hierarch's to go around.
I went 5-3.

Mono green has no creature kill, so I wish for Teneb for the win and Mortify all his ground pounders.

His Ledgewalkers don Moldervine Cloaks and I can only survive for so long.

Loxodon Heirarch's mock his Browbeat tech and gain me life, and Teneb tricks keep the life a flowin'

Round 3.5 vs Hunger
Andy slips off to Micky-D's and comes back with Cheeseburgers and since my breakfast consisted of scraping the center scrap leftovers of a veggie pizza my sister brought home from work, those cheeseburgers were the best tasting cheeseburgers I have ever had.
Round 4 vs Korlash Control Bw
He gets me down to about 40 before his Leyline of the Void comes on line, but his Phyrexian Arena's keep his life in check.
When Dimir House Guard comes to the party, he Tendrils my creatures over and over and over untill he is safe.
I lose as he sees his Phyrexian Arenas, and I don't.
His deck was neat, but slow (Factory, and Korlash as only kill...)

Round 5: RWU Angel Stompy.
Game 1 He mulls to 5, but I am at 10 life in no time, with an Arena online. Soon, his Double Helix seals it. I wished there was a Loxodon Hierarch in my sideboard.
Game 2, He mulls to five again, and topdecks all the neccessary land to out race my mana base which got stuck at 5. He gets Lightning Angel online while I am tapped out (by tapped out, meaning 2 out of 4 mana is spent on Castigate)
He then has the neccessary 5 counterspell topdecks to ride the Angel home to victory. I had 2 early wishes in hand, and I wish that Loxodon Heirarch was in my sideboard so I could play it when he was tapped out for angel.

It's a race, but he just can't deal with Wall of Roots, Loxodon Hierarchs, Teneb's and Glare!
I think he got color screwed game 1, but still.

Round 8 RW burn (with Spiders and Sulpherous Elemental guy)
Game 1: A race, but I got Teneb Technology, and a lucky Loxodon keeps me out of the red zone.
Game 2: He burns me out quick (my Duals, Painlands and Arena didn't help). I wish that Loxodon Hierarch was in the side.
Game 3: a fierce race that involves us topdecking nothing for several turns post Wrath and post Persecute. My nothing simply fules Vitu-Gazi into a small force to be reconed with.

Not bad. Not great, but not scrubby mcnoob either.
For my 40th place finish I win NOTHING, but had my 14 year old minions do my trading for me and I end up with 3 foil slivers I didn't have before, a wb asian Jester's Cap and 2 Italian Street Wraiths, a Sol Ring, the final 3 Flashes, a backup Will, 4 foil AEther Spellbombs, a Strip Mine with Tower, Foil Teferi and so forth. I myself traded for my FINAL TWO MANA DRAINS!!!! WHOOOT! I HAVE 4 AND NOT 2!!!!one!!!!eleven!!!!1
So apparently they suck now, but a recent TMD thread had someone say that CURRENTLY, post B/R restriction, the PREMIER MANA DRAIN DECK IS BBOOMMBBEERRMMAANN!!! This was YEARS in the making. For those who have followed my posts from the beginning (or know what SlapJack is...and the Salvager Wars...), this is the Cherry on top of my Banana Split Sunday for 2007.
