Well I am new here, but not new to magic. I have played since about the time Ice Age came out. I have always played Red/Green, but for the most part it was just a causual deck, so i desided to turn that into a somewhat competative deck, and this is what I came up with after some testing. I like how it has turned out so far, but I am at the point were I would like some help with the deck. With such a huge card pool in Vintage, I am sure someone is going to suggest a card that will be better for the deck. The main focus of the deck is to stop artifacts in hopes of slowing down the speed that most Teir 1 decks have. Right now my biggest problem would be match ups with combo like Grim Long, and decks similar to that. So let me know what you think, and if you have any cards in mind that would go better for the deck.

Land:
4x Forest
4x Mountain
2x Wooded Foothills
4x Taiga
3x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine

Green:
4x Root Maze
3x Hidden Guerrillas
3x Hidden Gibbons
2x Mire Boa
2x River Boa
1x Krosan Grip
2x Elvish Spirit Guide

Red:
4x Lightning Bolt
3x Kird Ape
3x Gorilla Shaman
2x Simian Spirit Guide
2x Magus of the Moon
2x Tin Street Hooligan

Gold:
2x Artifact Mutation

Artifact:
3x Chalice of the Void
4x Null Rod

Sideboard:
2x Pyroclasm <- Attempt to help with goblins or other creature based decks.
4x Red Elemental Blast <- Dont know if i should run two of these and two Pyroblast incase of a Extirpate or something along those lines.
4x Leyline of the Void <- Great for matchups with Ichorid.
2x Krosan Grip <- For Oath, and the split second is really nice.
2x Blastoderm <- Dont really know why I have it, but figured it might help with creature heavy decks.
1x Artifact Mutation

You won't always get instant answers on "message boards" in 3 hours.  Be patient.

3 Artifact Mutations seems excessive in the maindeck, unless you are in a heavy Stax/Shopp Aggro meta.

Those could be replaced by Red Elemental Blasts or more Spirit Guides (the Elvish and Spirit varieties).

After all, you have Chalice and Null Rod already to hose moxen.

I think you need moxes to keep your accelerated. .even with SSG and ESG. .
Magus of the oon. .make it 4 please ^^ You will see a nice result. .
I don't think this deck need LB, Dead/ Gone maybe will be better choice. .

Ancient Grudge is currently one of the best reasons to run R/G.  You should play it over Mutation.

Your COMPLETE lack of 4-ofs is troubling and suggests a lack of focus.

Planeswalkers? I like 'em pickled and tenderized.

Cards I would suggest:

Tin Street Hooligan

Pyroblast/REB (Maindecked in some metas)

Gathan Raiders. Want to beat fish? Here you go. He's a Phyrexian Negator that costs a card or two instead of your permanents. Downside? Countered by chalice @ 0.

Basking Rootwalla, which combos with Raiders

Wild Mongrel, which can combo with Raiders and of course Rootwalla.

Why go with the madness type cards? One reason is that you don't depend on your opponent casting spells (in the case of hidden enchantments) or get hurt by graveyard hate (in the case of Werebear/Mongoose, which is the other choice for big green dudes).

I've been testing 4x Keen Sense and 2x Sylvan Library for card draw as well.

This archetype has potential, I think. As Drains diminish and Fish decks (especially UB) start showing up to counter Flash and Ichorid, you might see more Stax as well. CS could remain a force in the metagame also, if it adapts. So, essentially it's a budget deck that hates on all blue decks, while more or less stomping all over Stax. Ichorid and Flash could be tough to impossible matchups, though. The only hate I see for those matchups are Tormod's Crypt, Ground Seal, Pithing Needle. All very limited.
