While trying to decide what vintage deck I wanted to run with in the current meta, I came up with a list of bomberman that was similar to what I had played a couple of years ago, with a few changes.  In any event, based off what I have seen others use, and ideas of my own, I put together the following decklist.

3 Auriok Salvagers
4 Trinket Mage

4 Force of Will
4 Mana Leak
2 Misdirection
4 Duress

1 Ancestral Recall
4 Brainstorm

1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Merchant Scroll
1 Intuition
1 Echoing Truth

1 each of Aether Spellbomb, Pyrite Spellbomb, Pithing Needle, Tormod's Crypt, Engineered Explosives Blotus/mox/petal/sol/LED

3 Tundra, 2 U-Sea, 3 Flooded, 2 PDelta, 1 T.Academy, 2 Island, 1 Plains

SB:
2 Honor the Fallen
2 Extirpate
2 Energy Flux
2 Swords to Plowshares
3 Meddling Mage
1 Disenchant
1 Orim's Chant
1 Tormod's Crypt
1 Hurkyl's

I had noticed that others had turned their decks into Bob-ermans and/or switch to just a control aggro plan, and cut the Pyrite.  I personally have preference to keeping the combo kill just because I like it more than just going the aggro route to win.

I also threw in black because I liked the tutors, the disruption with Duress, and I thought that with decks like Hulk Flash being introduced, having access to Extirpate to disrupt or slow down their combo would be nice. I didn't think the third color really slows the deck down too much.

I know that Salvager-combo has been discussed before, but when I searched for threads I didn't find any that had been posted in for some time.

It has done well in testing so far, and I am familiar with the deck.  I did not include timewalk because I was wanting to come up with a non-proxy ver. of the deck for gencon.  Cutting a card for a proxy timewalk in proxy tournies shouldn't be too difficult.

I am using Intuition over something like Gifts because I prefer the cheaper casting cost.  I suppose Gifts with Yawgmoth's will in the deck, since I am running black, might be an effective plan.  But I thought that by the time I cast ywill, I would be in a situation where I was already ready to go off anyway.  I could be wrong.

Comments or suggestions would be most welcome.

Bomberman can certainly take different forms, but if you're going to go the more control, less beatdown route, I suggest starting with Dan Cunningham's list:

http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=32968.0

The maindeck is really solid, and UW really takes care of most of the metagame now that Aven Mindcensor is available.

Regarding what you've posted, a few thoughts:

-This deck is mana hungry, if you're going to run a counter you pay mana for, make it mana drain not mana leak.
-The black splash is certainly defensible, but if you're going to bother, go all the way.  Make room for confidants (and maybe cutpurses), change mana leaks to daze, and go fish-style.
-I have no idea what you're going for with ancestral knowledge, I'd up the merchant scroll count instead.
-It's a tough balance between trinket mage targets and making room for other stuff.  I stuck with a.spellbomb, t.crypt, sensei, and e.explosives.  It gives you a answer to creatures, grave, permanents in general, and then something to get your draw engine going.
-Pyrite spellbomb IS win more.  If you were running a red splash that would be one thing, but the deck can go infinite with jotun grunt, so you don't really need pyrite.
-MAKE ROOM FOR TIME WALK

This list is dated, and is Erik Williams's from day 2 of the last waterbury:

2 Aether Spellbomb
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Sol Ring
1 Tormod's Crypt

Creatures
3 Auriok Salvagers
4 Dark Confidant
3 Jotun Grunt
4 Trinket Mage

Instants
1 Ancestral Recall
4 Brainstorm
3 Daze
4 Force Of Will
2 Misdirection
1 Vampiric Tutor

Sorceries
1 Demonic Tutor
2 Night's Whisper
1 Time Walk

Basic Lands
2 Island

Lands
3 Flooded Strand
3 Polluted Delta
1 Strip Mine
3 Tundra
2 Underground Sea
3 Wasteland

Sideboard:
3 Chalice Of The Void
1 Pithing Needle
1 Tormod's Crypt
3 Energy Flux
2 Darkblast
2 Swords To Plowshares
3 Trickbind

I know my friend has run the list more recently w/o night whispers and Misdirection I think for md Mages (ups the blue count and gives more disruption).  But this is a decent list for the more disruptive fish like builds of Bob-Bomberman.  The sideboard and maindeck obviously needs to be retooled as FS, the unrestriction/restrictions and unerrata of flash has completly changed the metage since this was last played.  But on board disruption like mage, and potentially mindcensor are quite strong against combo, especially flash if you can get them down turn 1-2.  They have minmal ways to remove them.
