***EDIT: DATE CHANGE***

After a successful Type 1 event where we got enough people for the prizes I offered - during the same day as SCG - I've decided to bump it up and return to the mox/drain deal as promised. Heres the details you all want.

Where:
X-9 Games (New, improved location in mall!)
Hampshire Mall
367 Russell Street
Hadley, MA 01035

When: Sunday August 5th, 2007. Prereg starts at 11:30 am, tournament starts promptly at 12:30 pm. While I was very lenient last time, I will be handing out game losses this time for late entries.

Entry Fee: $20 and 15 Proxies

Prize Structure Depends on number of entries, all money to prizes.
20 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain
24 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th Two/One dual of choice.
27 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th Three/Two dual of choice.
31 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Italian Signed Mana Drain, 3rd/4th Three/Two dual of choice, 5-8th 2 Draft Sets Each
34 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Library of Alexandria, 3rd/4th Three/Two dual of choice, 5-8th 2 Draft Sets Each
36 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Library of Alexandria, 3rd/4th Italian Signed Mana Drain/Three dual of choice, 5-8th 2 Draft Sets Each
38 People: 1st Mox Pearl, 2nd Library of Alexandria, 3rd/4th Italian Signed Mana Drain each, 5-8th 2 Draft Sets Each

Last time people complained about the lack of top heavy prizes, or that they would have preferred to not have anything go towards 5th-8th. I'm personally not a big fan of this, so I've stuck with draft sets and then re-bumping the top end prizes. Beyond 37 people I'll bump the 5th-8th prizes by turning them into duals or something.

Is this a decent prize structure? Let me know if it's good enough or not either via PM or responses here.

Hope to see you all come on out!

Crap...second one in a row I can't go to...

Going to see They Might Be Giants  Very Happy

What's wrong with Sunday tourneys?

I'd be happy to make an announcement about this event at TMD Open 11 though.

Unfortunately Tom Morello and The GZA aren't gonna let me go to this one. Too bad, this was one of the few weekends this summer I had anything planned.

Thanks Ray, I'd appreciate the announcement. I've been trying to move it to Sunday's, but the store apparently has alot of other customers on Sunday which eats up the table space.

Calling upon the incredibly smooth talking skills upon some arising scheduling "problems" with competitive stores, I have been able to get the tournament date changed.

And not only to a different weekend, but to a Sunday!

I rock. That is all.

Nick and Ray, I expect to see you.

I'm glad to see the date change, and to a Sunday.  This works out the best for everyone involved.  You guys get to hold the Sunday events that your players have been hoping for, and the tournament goers get to attend both our events.  The tournament scene is stacked in New England beyond all comprehension.

8 days till this shindig.

And I have a prize support surprise!

P.s. it involves giving a mox emerald in better condition than the pearl I had available and a better condition signed LoA.

2nd P.S. if enough people show up it might even become a beta ruby

This is shaping up to be really sweet.  Hopefully the speed quarters and edward 40's hands during the night previous don't prevent half of us from showing up.  Now I just need to find something playable I can fit future sight and divert into...

OATH OF SENSEI!  Its obviously going to be the breakout deck of the tourney, lets not kid around.  Now seriously how many are gonna show up sportin their GATs?  Gotta know so i can build something that slays it.
