i just have a simple question:

is hatred viable in this format or fow just make it unplayable?

Perhaps you could give us your take on the card and the deck you think it could be playable in.  I would assume Sui black, however the only deck now-a-days that don't pack lots of critters pack lots of counters.  So you might get a few surprises with it, but in all reality, only testing will tell.

This card is not even close to being playable in vintage.  As an additional cost you have to pay the life for hatred, so if you pay 18 life and that spell gets countered your stuck at two and lets just hope that you aren't relying on fetches.

Anything that costs 5 mana, a ridiculous amount of life and relies on you having a creature in play better win you the game; and I can't see Hatred doing that.

The format is packed with counters, bounce and spot removal; you'll need to be near enough winning for this card to have any potential anyway, and at that stage there are better options.
