"It's all out there on the Internet, you can find it if you look for it, but it's not in the major media. The media is now really part of the corporate establishment," he said.

Thoughts?

I didn't specify who said this or in what context, but to me it seems like one of those wierd truths that are real now.

Back in the early 90's I discovered that there was a lot of really great MUSIC out there that just didn't get played on MTV or the radio. There was no real Internet then, just Amoeba Music in Berkely (used CDs) and other outlets to explore music on the cheap end.  I stopped looking for entertainment on "Corperate Media" when I realized that what they gave me wasn't neccessarily the best, just what they gave me.

YouTube and other sites give "power to the people, mostly outside of corperate control" in a way I have never imagined.

Thoughts?
