Is this Black lotus a reback or not ?

I was wondering if people thinks this Black lotus is a reback, I think it is. But its graded by GAI. Still the left centering is the same as all collecters edition black lotus.

Fake.

Edit - as people seem to disagree, I'll elaborate.

The off-center cut is a pretty clear signal to me, along with the way the back is not miscut.  The corners are a little strange, one side is rounder than the other.  I've seen the style of reback before, I'd be hesitant.

I agree.  It seems legit.

I've never heard of GAI grading, so that makes me skeptical.  Plus, they don't seem to have it listed in their database, since I tried to check.

I must say that I did find the card when searching the database of the grading company and there are a few other auctions graded by them. Still its the offe centering that is so identical to collecters edition that has me believing its a fake along with the different front and back.

It wouldent be the first time a grading company made a mistake

I sniped a peice of power from him and it should arrive in a day or two. The pics looked legit, but when it comes I'll inspect the sh!t out of it and post if it is fake or not. Thanks for the heads up on this one.

I hate to say, but if a fake is good enough to fool a professional grader, then for most purposes like playing and re-selling, isn't it real enough?

Yes. I do have to agree with you.

I'm not a uber MTG collector, so if the card passes my inspection I'll be cool with that and consider it real enough. My main concern is if the card is blatantly fake i.e., miss sized, peeling apart, etc....... Then I would have to drive to his house and leave a lit bag of poop on his doorstep.

When I receive the card I'll run all the tests on it and post the results.
