Question about play mats

Sorry if this has been beaten to death. For the past few months I have been in search of a decent custom play mat. So far I have come up with nothing and have decided to make my own. My question to anyone who might know is what type of  material are the old Khalsa Brain Games mats made out of? Im not talking about the terrible faux-leather ones. Thanks in advance!
