I have a question regarding evoke...

If i evoke a creature into play, can i then sacrifice it to some other effect?

Oh and can i counterspell an evoke'd creature?

/Zeus

Ps. Sorry about these questions, haven't really played magic since lorwyn was printed.

You can do both of those.  When you evoke a creature, you are playing it for it's evoke cost.  It goes on the stack normally, it comes into play normally, the only difference is that when it comes into play, if it's evoke cost was paid, a trigger goes on the stack that says "Sac this creature."  You can then respond by saccing it to nantuko husk, momentary blink-ing it (which results in you keeping the newly blinked version in play for good), or whatever else.  They can also be countered as creature spells (so remove soul would work on an evoked Shriekmaw).
