Does Ichorid have the potential to be the best deck in the vintage format? Will this deck ever be the top played deck in the meta Game? Help me develop the best Ichorid deck type 1 has ever seen.

Hi, and welcome to The Mana Drain.

Before posting more here, please take the time to read over our rules for posting. It won't take too long, and it will give you a good understanding of what we expect from posts. It can be found here: http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=18027.0. This post is not sufficiently detailed to start its own thread. A more proper form of Ichorid thread would be one which lists various Ichorid lists which have done well recently and contrasts their differences. In other words, a more detailed and thoughtful post is needed to start a thread. Moreover, please check to see whether Ichroid lists are already being discussed elsewhere on these boards. If so, then it is generally better to join the existing discussion rather than starting  a new one. Finally, if you want to view how Ichorid has been thusfar developed, please try the Search feature listed atop your screen. I'm going to lock this thread, meaning that it can't be further changed.

There is no best Ichorid deck.  There is just waaaaay to much graveyard hate out there.

Leyline of the Void turn 0!!!
Pithing Needle your Bazaar of Baghdad.
Extirpate your Bridge from Below.
Tormod's Crypt your entire Yard.
Yixlid Jailer turns off Dredge effects, and removes flashback and all abilities of cards in any graveyard.  Welders still work though!!!

Or for STAX players:
Trinisphere
Damping Matrix skips upkeep
Smokestack blows up the few permanents Ichorid plays!
Tanglewire taps you down.
2 Spheres lose you the game!

For GAT Players:
Bouncey Bouncey Spells!!
Tarmogoyf gets big quick with Dredge.

For Flash Players:
Win turn one, no counterspells!!! Nuff Said!

There's a reason Ichorid hasn't shown up at many tounaments lately. There's just too much against it right now!

Alot of the stuff you have said makes sense however with the exception of flash these are all game 2 effects. As a flash player i know the power of ichorid. In a recent tournament i went off first turn (in the top 8 mind you) only to get beat by my opp dredging up a narcomoeba (after cycling street wraith)to chump block leaving him at 9 poison counters (i had one sliver in my hand).  In addition players do not play all these grave yard hates at once. At best they play two of these at a time.

I'm an ichorid player myself so I can deal with most of the stuff people sb against it. The only viable deck I see ichorid having a problem against is Stax and Flash. But all  ichorid deck should main Cabal Therapy, Leyline of the Void and Chalice of the Void. Leyline helps against Flash and stax. Unless the person is smart enough to run Chain of Vapors but you are right about there's no perfect Ichorid deck. I main Dryad Arbor, Serum Powder. I've only seen 2 versions of Ichorid. One Abusing Serum Powder for a bazaar for the abuse of using Dragon's Breath and Sultured Ghoul with Dredge Return. The other one using Flame-Kin Zealot.

Leyline of the Void is easy to take care of with Reverent Silence Simplify Ray of Revelation
Pithing Needle Oxidize will take care of this.
Extirpate I'm not going to argue with you on this one. Who's going to SB 4 Extirpates against Ichorid? IMHO(In my honest opinion) it's a waste of space in your sb. You'll have to Extirpate the main spells in the graveyard which is Dredge Return and Bridge from Below I think... Echoing Truth a better SB against Ichorid. I mean who cares they have X amount of tokens.
Tormod's Crypt I smell Chalice of the Void for 0
Yixlid Jailer is just a measely 2/1 that can be taken care of with Contagion

This weekend i won day 2 of waterbury with flash.  In order to get into the top 8 i had to defeat ichorid in the last round, because i was paired down i could not ie in.  My SB against it was amazing and because this and bomberman are the only two decks flash has issues with presideboard i sided heavily against ichorid expecting to see alot of it. I did side 4 extirpates, 4 reverant silences, 3 chain of vapors, as well as one yixilid jailer, a and winged sliver.  Although i do enjoy playing ichorid however i feel that the deck is hated on far to much to win any large event such as waterbury.  After i sideboarded i took the next 2 games easily.
