Hey guys just wanted to throw a shamless plug for my store which just opened up on Main St Pawtucket in Rhode Island. The stores name is DieHard Games and we're carrying a large collection that supports MTG in the Standard, Extended, and Legacy formats. Next month we'll be holding our first Magic 500 which is a 500 dollar cash prize tournament. The format will be legacy and I want to state that the cash payout will be handed out regardless of how many people show. Tomorrow is our first day open so your more than welcome to come stop by and check the place out. Just in case you were wondering we are also supporting WOW, Vs, and Yugioh and carry a full line of rpgs, as well as video gaming that consists of four 46 inch flat screen tvs outfitted with 4 xbox 360's. The store's address is 1005 Main St suite 2230 and the contact number is 401-374-0921. If you have any questions just throw me a pm here or you can also im me at lawnorder45. thanks for your time guys.
Javier
(the tv's haven't arrived yet from the warehouse so if you stop in tomorrow don't be surprised if they aren't on the wall yet)

I wondered where Javier went =o
I heard about your store through the grapevine and was wondering when it would open.
Glad to see your store opening. Main St in Pawtucket... is this where the first location of ymg prov was?
I wish you the best of luck in any case and will swing by at some point soon.

its very close to the old ymg's location. Theres a mill that they recently converted into a semi strip mall and we're located inside. I'm def looking forward to seeing the old crew.

There are alot of events going on that day, expecially for legacy. Theres a tourney at hadley and it would be a shame for both events to be hurt by one another. Also theres a myriad games tourney. I suggest that you move the tournament back a week or two and you will get much better attendance.

I tried to go to your grand opening today... but could not find your store :p
Literally went up and down North Main/Main St. The problem is it goes through 3 cities. What are you next to/across from?
I looked for a mill complex turned into strip mall but there's dozens of those =p
I'm guessing you don't havce a sign up yet but it's possible you do and I just missed it. Chances are I'd probably miss the sign anyway :p
Basically how far down main st do I go? Do I want to pass the sign that says 'welcome to historic Pawtucket?'
Thanks.

Hey Dave I'm sorry you couldn't find the store. Its on the pawtucket side of main st, if you go down mineral spring and make a left at the intersection with a hess on the right and a mcdonalds on the left, you will be on the right track to get to the store. You just head down for a little bit and make a left onto dudley street and drive down it til you get to a parking lot with a giant blue dumpster. theres a door there that leads into the side of the building and voila, you found us. (just go thru the double doors). Small warning that our hours for the next few days aren't going to start til 5-6 in the afternoon because of some snags we hit. Nothing major we just had some small leaks that need fixing and it should be done by thursday. For more info feel free to call us or im me at lawnorder45

Always great to hear about another store opening nearby. I have a quick question for you, Javier. In general -- Fridays in particular -- how late are you planning to be open until? Will you have a schedule of open times / events up?

The store hours are as follows Monday 1:00pm - 11:00pm Tuesday 1:00pm - 11:00pm Wednesday 1:00pm - 11:00pm Thursday 1:00pm - 11:00pm Friday 1:00pm - 12:00am Saturday 12:00pm - 12:00am Sunday 12:00pm - 6:00pm On Fridays we will be having sanctioned FNM and once a month we will be hosting a Magic 500. The rest of the schedule is still a little up in the air as far as other games go, but I'll post that up by Wednesday or Thursday latest. I hope I was able to answer your questions

You should probably have posted it here first. It is the biggest website for legacy on the web. Theres already a thread of this there so theres no need to worry. That being said, you should seriously consider moving the date of this as a large legacy event is going on the same day in the Northeast. it would be a shame if both events get low attendance because of the conflicting dates. The week before and the week after are both free so why not run it then

This is great to hear. If you really want to get a big turn out for magic 500 you need to do type 1 because the vintage community will travel for an event like this. I would love to come by and check out the store here soon. What format are you planning hosting for FNM?

Meant to do this post earlier but I've been to Javier's store a couple times now...
<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Great store. It's really what RI needed too. I believe it will only be a matter of time before he gets tourneys rolling in.
I would say it's a fantastic location for vintage/legacy tourneys and big enough for other events like PTQ's.
Anyone able to go should do so <3
