You caught us - we have a soft spot for Staxless Stax, but Psychatog and Quirion Dryad attempted to foist control of that spot in the Top 8. Luckily David was able to regain control and Staxless Stax did indeed make Top 8!

Glad to see this event was such an overwhelming success.  This really reaffirms that the community is strongly behind Myriad Games and all the hard work they put in.  I look forward to seeing the community grow in 2008.

I'm glad to see Mana'd Ichorid tearing stuff up.  The deck is busted, and certainly a very solid choice in todays meta.  It's too bad that the two Mana'd Ichorid lists had to face off in the Top 8.  I've got to believe that Black Lotus would be better than Tarnished Citadel though.  Congrats to all who Top 8'd.

i never once wanted an artifact accelerant on the day. i am pretty sure you want your mana sources to produce 5c and be able to be used a couple times so that rules out lotus petal. you def need access to consistent mana for post board games.

<3 that Slaver list, but it looks like a serious underdog in that top 8. Its best matchup looks like... Ichorid?

I got really dissapointed when I saw the Zebra Unicorn was in the sideboard. I thought it might have been a part of some crazy new flash combo... Why is the Zebra Unicorn in there? I'm kind of confused by it.  Smile

I think it's just showing that Flash can still win even with a slot in the sideboard occupied by that ridiculous thing.

I think that it's because, as TOOL pointed out, it's a Zebra AND a Unicorn at the same time.
Also, it has lifelink.

Now, if someone was to have a sideboard Ink-Eyes in Flash,
that would be some serious tech.

I ran the Zebra Unicorn because I figured that, as T00L said, it is both a zebra and a unicorn, and as a combination of both, it cannot be beaten. Next time i'll try out the Ink-Eyes tech.
