to know whether things like red blast are going to be a good idea we're gonna have to see how the meta shakes out.  if there's not sufficient blue being played there's not gonna be much of an excuse for playing 7-8 maindeck cards that are only good with painter's servant in play.  if people are playing more of some other color you may want to look into targeted hate against that color instead which would result in completely rewriting your deck list.

Has anyone considered running BEB's and naming red with painter.  More blue cards to pitch to FoW and if Welders are going to be running amok again.  You can start smoking off permanents instead of bouncing them.  Would make one main deck scroll alot better too.  just an idea.

I definetley agree that the Painter's players are going to have to reconsider the 8 REB's in the main. The restriction may or may not phase mono blue out of the competitive meta if only temporarily.  However with the new restrictions I do think the BEB is a great way to keep FOW powerful and fight against the likely appearance of more Goblin decks, but is it strong enough for Main deck?  I am still out on this verdict, any ideas?

I think it is too early to tell.  But if Menendian's Oath deck is any indication of what is coming, maybe sticking with REB is the way, but with Ichorid surely going to see a rise in popularity BEB is a good way to buy some time by smoking off Flame-kin, if FoW dread return doesn't work.  Maybe a mix of them and then SB accordingly.  Considering if you have landed a painter naming red, BEB owns and there is enough blue spells around that REB isn't dead.

BEBing Flame Kin Zealot does little.  All other Bridge tokens will still have haste and be 3/3.
