I have a new take on R/G beatz that I wanted to get out. It mixes old school Beatz with old school Fires of Yavimaya decks. It won't be tier 1 but it should be fun to play and can win games.

//Lands: 22
4 Taiga
4 Wooded Foothills
5 Forest
5 Mountains
4 Karplusan Forest
//Creatures: 22
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Kird Ape
4 Rumbling Slum
4 Jungle Lion
2 Scab-Clan Mauler
4 Burning Tree Shaman (Aggressively costed artifact disruption and a good beater)
//Spells: 16
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Ruby
4 Fires of Yavimaya
2 Saproling Burst
2 Skullclamp (Good synergy with Saproling Burst/ Draw Engine)
2 Null Rod     (Artifact disruption)
2 Seedtime   (Blue is still so prevalent that you should be able to play these regularly)
2 Berserk
//Sideboard
2 Skullclamp
2 Seedtime
2 Wilderness Elemental
2 Magus of the Moon
4 Flametongue Kavu (Kills Shushers, Welders, Salvagers, and other bothersome creatures)
2 Null Rod
1 Leyline of Lifeforce

I feel the deck and sideboard are both pretty self explanatory. I have some notes explaining why I picked certain cards next to their entries in the decklist. I think it has some potential.

... Might want to find a different piece of utility for Skullclamp or a different piece of hate for Null Rod. You know rod shuts down the ability to Equip with Clamp right? Rumbling Slum is a wink slow for Vintage... Should consider adding black for Dark Confidant and hand disruption. Maybe Thorn as well? Otherwise pretty basic RG Beats...

Fires also strikes me as being too slow for this format. Thats mana you could have used to play some form of disruption or some other critter... Consider Megrim for instance. In the time it took a player to play Megrim, they could have torn the opponent's hand to bits. Fires is a Time Walk for your opponent, no matter how good haste may be in the long run. Maybe if you had the necessary disruption to buy the time you need, but even that plan is very far fetched.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I would cut the Fires, along with the Sap Bursts and Rumbling Slums. I know you want to be a Fires deck, but there is no way you'll be getting to 4 mana consistently enough and not be dead.

As for replacements, I'd try out MD Magus, Mogg Fanatic, or Tin Street Hooligan. Maybe even Stingscourger if everyone in your area is Tinkering up DSCs and the such. Also, more disruption in the form of something like Chalice of Pyrostatic Pillar seems solid.

In all honesty I've given up on this being a vintage deck and posted a new list in the Legacy forums.
