Thanks to everyone who attended.  We had a great turnout of 44 players!  As promised, because of the high turnout, we increased the prizes to the top 4 winners by adding two more mana drains to the prize pool, which seemed to please everyone.  Aside from a little heat it was a great day and everything went off right on time.  We promise for our next one on October 11th we will do our best to keep it cooler back there.  We weren't expecting to have quite that many people so we will be more prepared for it this time around and try to keep it as comfortable back there as possible.

Congrats to our winners:
1st Place - Joe Davis - Unlimited Time Walk
2nd Place - Garrett Scheier - 3 Mana Drains (up from 2)
3rd Place - Nathan Thompson - 1 Mana Drain (up from $25 gift card)
4th Place - Jeremy Beaver - $50 gift card (up from $25)

The next tournament will be on October 11th at Round Table Games.  We will be posting details by the end of the week hopefully.

If anyone would like to add specific match reports please do.  We'd love to hear about some of the great matches.

You guys apparently didn't get the memo that TK's control deck exists.  Otherwise Long wouldn't be 75% the top 4.

You apparently think the midwest is actually in the same elite tier as the east.  I can easily troll your pathetic tournament results and bash people, but I won't because I'm not a freak.

Would you mind posting the top 8? For such a large tourney, the top 8 is very relevent even if they didn't win anything.

This post is not only ridiculous and off base, but shows just how elitist your attitude is.  What have you exactly done that has made you so Elite?   TK's deck single-handedly has destroyed Combo in the Midwest, which is arguably just as competitive as the East Coast.  I played out there, and Top 4ed, remember, and TK has not only played out there, he won TWICE (SCG and Waterbury Day 2).  Jimmy McCarthy also placed both days of Travis' last tournament, and Jerry Yang has done well for himself out there in the past as well.  So if you say we're not in the same "elite tier as the east", I think you need to take off your clown shoes.

You don't need to go around telling "us guys" that our metagame is wrong.  Even though we're not following TK around everywhere he goes and smelling his every fart, we test a lot of his decks and form our OWN opinions.  The players here know what they're doing and no matter what you happen to think, the Eastern Vintage scene is extremely developed.

3-4 players is a good start.  But I wish you would drop it there and just apologize.

Wow.  Really, guys?  A Full Warning wasn't enough to put a stop to this arguing?  "My metagame is better than your metagame."  "Our elite players are better than your elite players."  "My dad can beat up your dad."  These disputes serve no purpose.  Verbal warnings to desolutionist and 13NoVa, and thread closed.
