I recently went to the Troll & Toad website to check up on the avaliability of Marshaling the Troops and to my surprise it was a $45 dollar card! What decks exactly play this card? I know for a fact that Peach Garden Lich isn't that popular, so why has the price on the card spiked? Any insight on this matter will be appreciated.

Because it's a p3k rare card?

That's about it for the reasoning, it's pretty damn rare.

There are P3K rare cards that are better but less valuable than Marshaling the Troops. Riding The Dilu Horse is a million times better rare and it's only $7 bucks. I remember when MTT was $25 dollars like two months ago. There's got to be another reason why this card has spiked in value.

Actually, having worked hard to complete a set of P3K I have watched values of all cards pretty regularly.  When I just looked now, many seemingly crappy cards are throught the roof on findmagiccards.com.

I have a strong hypothesis.  Between Grindstone/Painter, then Strategic Planning, and even to some extent Leyline/Helm people have been really speculative recently.

I wonder if someone out there is buying up tons of P3K cards hoping one will be the next strategic planning.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"
