I admit over the years I've been rough on my cards. I ripple shuffle with relative force, I leave stuff out of sleeves and they get those dust spots, hand oils issues and other things. I want to start playing non proxy vintage but it's so much money I need to be able to get back similar returns If I quit or what not. I'll quit rippling and such but what else can I do to take care of power and drains and all of that good stuff? What do you do to keep your cards trade able?

Honestly I think that Wizards should allow some degree of proxy if you have the hard copies in your possession but that's another story.

Thanks ahead of time.

Nope.  Proxies are only allowed at HJ discretion if the card is damaged during play at a tournament.  Not to protect money cards and not to replace cards you don't own.

This is a playing card game.  Yes, it's a CCG, collectable Card Game, but it's also playable.  I shuffled borrowed power at Nationals, and I shuffled other peoples power too.  I shuffle my recall and drains and Unlimited duals together too.  Not a problem as long as you're not rough with them.

Side-shuffling and pile-shuffling will not damage your cards, and if they're double-sleeved you have nothing to worry about.

You can riffle without actually mashing or bending the cards, which is just as well, because overhand is average and pile "shuffling" isn't.
