Sweet! Will do my best to make it. Thanks for the heads up Web -- I wouldn't have known about this otherwise.

The tournament date has been pushed back 1 week to Saturday, December 20th at 4PM.

Some people may notice that there is a PT Kyoto Qualifier going on that day. Fear not, it is in the same location and starts at 10AM.

This is actually spectacular for me. I was likely to skip this event and go to Reno instead. Now I get both!

I have mixed feelings about this. I think it will result in increased exposure but decreased attendance of this tournament. Of the SF crew, I'm the only one that will definitely opt for the vintage event over the PTQ. I'd guess that Phil, Brett, and James are probably going to opt for the PTQ. As long as Superstars realizes that this tournament will probably be trading a decrease in attendance for a potential increase in future attendance then I'm cool with it. If only like 8 people play in it and they stop doing Mox tournaments then we've got a problem.

Webster - is everyone from your group going to play vintage or are some opting for the PTQ? I'll see what the people in my group are planning on doing.

Oh wait, I just realized that it's starting at FOUR (not like the last time when both events started in the morning). Sweet!

The increase in exposure will definately have a positive impact for future tournaments. For this one, I think that the influx of people playing in it who wouldn't normally will offset the people who would normally play type 1 but are still in the PTQ given that they're having average days. One unfortunate point is that it's not as easy to hop into a type 1 tournament compared to a draft where you only need the entry fee.

Hopefully the Berkeley Boys will bring decks (between the whole lot of them they ought to be able to rustle up 2 or so, right?) and whomever amongst them scrubs out can join in the Vintage. Does anybody regularly see them? Josh?

Team Vacaville will be there.

Who knows what Junior and Austin will play. Maybe whatever I hand them. We do ZERO testing at the moment.

Just a reminder that the tournament is this Saturday.

Come for the PTQ, stay for the vintage.
