Before I start I want to let everyone know I haven't slept in 1 day and 11hrs time so the details might be sketchy but i wanted to post this before I went into an a coma. I got to twans house roughly at around 4pm his time after leaving IL at 8am. (7hrs drive so far) We chatted for about 10 or so mins and off we went into the dreaded Pittsburgh area. After another 4hrs of driveing we got to rit necros house ( got lost but eh its all good total drive time for today 11hrs ) Talking and drinking fun times. Paul showed up with mike and then the type 4 goodness started. I made a mistake its all good and had a blast. So the sun rose and with that me and making my deck Me and Kurt Maske have been testing painters servant and so that's what I rolled with.

We go to the tourny ate at the mall I got sick and then pairings for round one happened. If I didn't remember your name sorry it's been a hell of a weekend.
Round 1 vs omg rit necro win
Ya so we get the honor of playing each other and I know what hes playing inside and out due to testing the night before (dousnt help much though) I win the roll and we get things going. After a lot of dead drawls by him in mid game I get the combo out and win. G2 he rolls like a champ on mana crypt winning 7 rolls straight and comes in with tarm for the win. G3 is worse for me as he has good cards while mine hid somewhere. We shake and I go next door and buy an enormous homer Simpson standing card board cut out.
So with the loss I am now in the simi casual bracket and we go to round 2
me vs a guy with read hair and glasses
this goes by fast. I win the roll and get the combo off by turn 5. G2 he plays into a mana drain on his turn 3 and it sets me up for vault key which I had in my opening had for my turn. We shake and I go back to buy more stuff.
round 3 me vs another unknown ( you will get alot of this sorry )
I find out hes 0-2 and I am pretty sure that 3-2 wouldn't make it in. I ask without thinking if he wants to con seed to me and he says that he wants to play it out. I sigh and respect his choice and we play. G1 all him he gets dark steel out and my welder doesn't get the job done. G2 was close. I had turn one welder and after a memory jar activation I force a much needed spell for him and wind up closing the deal soon after. G3 I had tons of counters and get at his spells eventually casting two mana drains and casting sundering titan for the win.
round 4 me vs stax
he owns me games 1 and 2 I didn't see daylight and we shake.
I realize I can't make the top after seeing standings but I have never had a winning record for the day in vintage and I wanted to play that final round.
round 5 me vs ad nas
game one I counter his ad nas and take it home from there. G2 I find ak then ponder into two ak's and then get an ancestral with merchant. My hand is enormous and he didn't come back.
We stick around for a while and then watch the finals. After everything was said and done I was happy with my performance and even though I wanted to top pretty badly I didn't get there but realized I was 3-2 for the day and I was stoked I got my first winning record. After the tournament we all head to eat some fantastic food and the table is me twan rit necro paul mr necros wife and nat. We have a great time I got a snapshot of the crew and then ask Paul if he could write down his deck list for me to play in Chicago. He agrees to share and I get a pen out of my pocket and a napkin and he starts to write after the table settles down. I get a little more sick but tough it out and we make the drive back to twans. After 4 hours of driving we get back to his place and I decide to monster truck my way back home. I take off at 3am and go into the night driving. I read Indianan in about a hour or so and I notice it's snowing a little bit and I ask the toll attended if it's coming down harder up ahead. She says no and now I want to smack her for sending me into a blizzard. I get about 30 miles into Indianan and I cant see more than 5 feet in front of me. I slide back and forth in my truck and thank god nothing happened. I was pretty worried but stuck by my wits and kept calm. I stopped a few times to get ice from my windshield wipers and am wanting to just call it quits and get a motel room and crash. I talk myself out of it and then think about if I made this how epic it would be double tourneys and just having over all fun. I get back behind the wheel and the storm breaks. I haul ass and after the sun rises it gets calmer and I make it out of the storm. I call kurt and tell him theirs no way I can pick him up and drive back in time for deck reg's. He agrees and takes a car up by himself. We meet in monee and then head off for xtreme. I get behind the wheel till I can't think strait anymore and then he takes over at a oasis. We arrive get cards ready and then head into round 1.
Me vs ben carp
I get to the table and ben is already sitting down. We talk about trades and start the match. I win the die roll and tell him in advance if I do something stupid please let me know I am hella tired. He plays lotus ponder shuffels drawls and plays a servant. I go and after a few turns i get tezz and it's over. We go to game 2 and I can't find a land or mana source. I mull to 6 nothing 5 nothing 4 not a good hand but it will do. He gains tempo and without a hand theres not to much I can do. Game 3 was nuts. I play land mox lotus necro. Necro sticks and I power my way though to a victory 1-0. We chat for a bit and then the next round starts.
Me vs Levi aka bottle gnomes
We shake and talk for a bit shuffling and I mull to 5. Keep an iffy hand and watch as he destroys me with ichorid. I shake it off and get the hate out. I play first turn tormods and pass. It keeps him at bay for a few turns till I get double jailer out. She buys me more time and I get tezz and win next turn. G3 turns out to be a good one for me and not so much for him. He plays and casts ancestral recall and I let him have it. I drawl and get lotus and bam go off and tendrils him for the win 2-0.
We get a lunch break and then get to round three.
Me vs James king
I know James is going to be a tough opponent and Kurt told me earlier he was playing oath. I know the power of the deck and don't like the odds but eh what are you going to do. We shuffle up and I think I win the roll. I lay some things down and it becomes and back and forth battle. I don't see oath and get the black mana I needed for a duress. I get a counter and he has two back up. He plays passes and I eot thirst. It resolves and I get another duress and a drain. I drawl a force and think about my options. I play duress get negate and then pass. He goes and passes. I drawl and my hand is tezz will drain force and something else. I try and bait a spell with will and he negates. I let it happen and then cast tezz with force back up and win. G2 he is on the play and drops a land and passes. I play a sea then play ponder. It shows me the nuts and I play mox mana vault black lotus dark ritual demonic tutor getting a force and then play will. Will hits i rinse repeat and tendrils for the game 3-0.
I drawl in rounds 4 and 5 and get into top 8 being in number 1 place.

He plays flooded strand and I know its not that anymore. He gets oath early and then just goes to town on my face. G2 its pretty much a repeat of g1 oath and town lol. I had fun shake his hand and get the 20 store credit. Me and kurt stay for a bit I play some edh and then we jet back to monee and I get to finally go home and rest ( after I've typed this ).
