As some of you may have noticed I have brought my project, the Vintage Encyclopedia, to the mana drain.  At the suggestion af Grand Inquisitor I am putting out a request for advice on better, more user friendly ways to format and interface the project.  As is, I had planned on having the second post with all of the decklists linked, and a couple of other helpful posts directly under it.  GI believes, and I share this thought, that there may be a better way to do this.

In fact, my initial attempt at linking the deck posts is not working out very well, as the browser loads the thread, but will not automatically go to the post I want it to.  For instance these both go to the top of the first page for me:

Any help with these problems is greatly appreciated.

One way would be to create a locked board only editable by Moderators and a few specific users who work actively on the Encyclopedia.  No need to even provide a link to it on the main page.  Have a separate thread for every deck's post, and have the Vintage Encyclopedia thread be only a few posts long, with the list of deck names linking directly to the one-post thread regarding the deck in question.  Eventually, the main thread can be stickied and locked (again, with Mods and key editors retaining access), so nobody could try to use either the main thread or the individual deck threads for discussion purposes, which belong elsewhere anyway.

When you quote a message, as I've done here, you get a link in the quote tags to the original message. If you mouseover or click the link, it gives you the link to the individual message, which you can then cut and paste, and then cancel your quote post.

Since there's no other place to post this, I just want to say that alll the material consolidated in the Encyclopedia thread is amazing. I'm going to probably spend the entire weekend reading this stuff! T H A N K S
