At least here in Finland, Workshops are the decks to beat. I think the list I played was amazing except SB Eon Hubs, which should have been Jailers. Null Rod and Bazaar + Confidant are so strong, and SB Darkblasts were essential in the meta.

The tournament itself ran very smoothly. Atmosphere was very casual while games remained competitive. There will be more of these to come.

4 Shop decks in the top 8! That is what I like to see. Thanks for posting these results. It is always nice to see what is going on in Europe.

Do note how poorly Tezzeret did in face of that much artifact disruption. It has to do with the fact that many seasoned vintage players opted for workshops, but workshops really kept Tezzeret in check in this tournament.

Interesting how the only one without Null Rod got to the finals.

Interesting how the only one without Null Rod got to the finals.

Because the Tezzered player playing against him in semis was a kid inexperienced with the deck. No idea how that kid won against Uba Stax, though.

An inexperienced Tezzeret player got through a 33-man Swiss?  How does that work?

Nice getting top 8 lists from Sweden. Thanks for that Juha.

Hannu's list misses two cards.

Helsinki is in Finland, Swedes were mentioned only as rare non-Finnish players.

Hannu's list should have 4 Daze in it.

Argh, sorry for that. Stupid me.  Smile

Hannu's list should have 4 Daze in it.
Thought that the two cards should be something blue, as the blue count for Force of Will is really low. Thanks!

Maybe I'm just lucky against Manaless Ich.  But, I really don't understand how it can win tournaments in a field of Waste effects.  Mana powered Ich is a different story entirely.

If I'm playing any deck with 4-5 Waste effects against Manaless Ich I simply mull to a Waste.  I know they are going to Mull to a Bazaar.  Wasting their 1st land is a huge setback for them.  It gets even easier games 2 or 3 when I not only can mull to a Waste, but I can mull to SB cards, as well.

Again, maybe I'm just lucky against Manaless Ich.  But, I really don't think it's that difficult to beat.  Even when they go first and get to activate Bazaar once.

Well, I can tell. In our top 8 match I mulled to 5, Malin had two Bazaars, and I drew no mana other than my opening Waste+Shop. Second game I keeped Bazaar and Leyline, hoping to draw into Waste. It never came up. In finals I watched Malin win through three consecutive Wastelands and Triskelion removing his board and two Bridges just before it. That guy is just invincible, he topdecks like a pro all the time.
