I have Painter/Grindstone and I Grind my opponent, who has one Progenitus in their deck.  Am I correct in assuming that they are milled down to everything except the Progenitus, then they draw it next turn and lose the turn later?

What if they had TWO Progenitus' in their deck?  Is it a draw?

You are correct. It's the same as having 2 DSC in your deck which also results in a draw, basically this is the only effective way of stopping Grindstone from killing you... They can always just play a ancestral targetting you for the win or something though.

So with one Progenitus I win though?  But with two it just keeps going.

As I said, Correct Wink with one progenitus you win (after they draw it and then draw blank)

With one, once you get to the situation where Prog is the only card left, when you try to flip two and check their colors (so says Grindstone), you just flip Prog, and obviously he doesn't share a color with nothing so you stop.  With two, they share a color, so you have to keep going ad infinitum and the game is a draw.  This is the same as with DSC.  Also, obviously 1 of each will have the same effect as two of the same (or Legacy Weapon for example).

Well, last time I checked Gaea's Blessing was also effective to stop the combo. Also, there is no way to cast Ancestral Recall once the loop is started.

Ancestral does beat Blessing though, since Blessing's trigger won't resolve until the entire deck has been milled and Grindstone has finished resolving
