This is all pure unproven at this point so don't get your hopes up - but some of the leaked cards indicate that the next block might be a block filled with alternate casting cost cards.

Mox Amethyst the first card spoiled/leaked which could be very nice in Ichorid - here is the thread over on MTG Salvation - again take it with a grain of salt but I could see the posibility of Manaless (alternative casting costs) Disenchant/Naturlize for options to Time Vault/Tez/Key lockouts.

Mox Amethyst might be severely broken in several ways.  First it seems pretty good in Uba Stax since it dodges Chalice, can be hardcast off Shop and you can easily sacrifice cards in the yard.  Also it find a Red source when you want it the most which is when you have Bazaared.

Mox Amethyst also has the potential to be broken with Baubles/Street Wraith in a Drain control deck.  Hands could start with:
Fetch->Island, Mox, Bauble, Amethyst (paying 1 with Mox) and thus you have Drain up on turn 1.  This would happen regularly and would break the format.

I am less sold on its use in Dredge.  You could play it for free turn 1 by RFGing all 3 cards you discarded to Bazaar.  Then you could restart your Bazaaring next turn.  The question is how is that any better than just playing City of Brass on turn 1 and then Bazaar on turn 2.  The answer is it is not any better thus I actually doubt this would help Dredge.

Well again I hate to get anyone jumping all over cards that may be just well done fakes, but I think that the Delve Mechanic and Sway are both Mechanics that could influence Vintage if they appear in larger numbers and on useful cards - Tombstalker has seen play in various black aggro decks and the vintage backbone is Force of Will - which features alternate casting cost.  This brings in the possibility of other colors being able to interact with other decks on the play on Turn 1 without using Spirit Guides.

Why would you have to play it turn 1?

Mox Amethyst would also be sick in TPS where a typical turn 1 play is Fetch-->Land, Duress. This would increase the consistency of a Turn 2 kill following a Turn 1 Duress SIGNIFICANTLY. It would also allow for TPS to run Mox Jet and Sapphire (and perhaps a third Mox for added accel) and have a lot of U/B sources to pull off awkward plays like Brainstorm and Desire in the same turn. Getting UUU up for that while still having at least B up for a ritual can be difficult to pull off in the early game and is one of the reasons TPS can't often kill more quickly than it does. I think this card could speed up TPS by a full turn.

I also think that this card screams to be abused in a Turn-One-Tendrils deck. I'm not usually one to dredge up old decklists, but just imagine consistency of the following deck:

Turn-One-Tendrils

Mana (3):
1 Bayou
1 Tropical Island
1 Tolarian Academy

Mana Accel (24):
4 Dark Ritual
1 Cabal Ritual
4 Land Grant
1 Black Lotus
1 Lotus Petal
5 Moxen
4 Mox Amethyst
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Lion’s Eye Diamond
1 Crop Rotation

Draw (24):
2 Ideas Unbound
4 Street Wraith
1 Brainstorm
1 Ponder
4 Chromatic Star
4 Chromatic Sphere
4 Manamorphose
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Demonic Consultation
1 Timetwister

Combo (5):
4 Tendrils Of Agony
1 Yawgmoth’s Will

Protection/Bounce (4):
4 Repeal

Chalice @0 would no longer be impossible to beat as you could Land Grant for a swamp and then ritual into a tutor or Sphere/Star into a manamorphose. You could then RFG 3 cards to play your Amethyst for free. Then repeal the Chalice and continue from there.

This decklist may not be optimal, but it looks to have some promise. I'd like to see if there was a way to squeeze in some more Ideas Unbound, but I don't see a way at the moment.

I really hope the Mox Amethyst is a hoax, because that is absurd. Dont get me wrong, I would love to have it, but it seems freaking ridiculous.

You could wait to play it turn2 which still makes it about as good as City of Brass which can also be played turn 2.  I suppose it could be abuse with Cephalid Colisem since you could play it for free on turn 2 and then play and activate Coliseum.

I'm pretty sure Dredge is the last deck that makes me care about this card.  It would be unreal in combo or probably even drain decks.  Fetchlands fill up graveyards sooo fast.

Sorry about the posting, shouldn't have jumped the gun so much on what was fakery - it was just oh so intriguing for vintage.
