Experimental Tournament Idea: Rogue Vintage. Would anyone be interested in this?

I'll probably be running another tournament in mid-August at Mayhem in Des Moines again. Last time no one came but I think it could be successful if I make a few changes this time. As soon as I get this going I'll post it in the Tournament Announcement Forum. Anyway, it would be unlimited proxies again (the Des Moines area doesn't have a lot of players with expensive cards) but the best performing deck running zero proxies will get a special prize. I will also proxy up 8 to 12 decks myself using my junk cards that I never play with and hand them out at an FNM there as soon as possible to get at least the right number of people to come for this to be sucessful, I will also hand out decklists and primers. Now for the real business. This is where the experimental part comes in. For the tournament the following cards will be unrestricted: Ponder, Gush, Flash, Fact or Fiction, Thirst for Knowledge, Balance, Burning Wish and Frantic Search. I'm also thinking about Demonic Consultation coming off (PM me about this please I need help deciding on that one). If anyone has any feedback about whether or not they would hypothetically attend this and why or why not please give me feedback (also, assuming the prize is a collector's edition piece of power for first place and assuming it was thrown at your local card shop for a $5-$10 entry fee). I'm also interested in deck ideas for me to hand out decks or lists and primers for especially with the modified b/r list. I will probably not be playing seeing as I'm basically creating the Meta.

1 Mana'd Ichorid (With Fatestichers and Sadistic Hypnotists)
1 Tezzeret  (with Confidant/remora)
1 Cunning Flash
1 5C Stax (running multiple Balance)

1 Hellkite or Progenitus Oath deck (Don't know which is best for this yet)

1 Fish Decks  (Probably Noble Fish/Selkie Slam)

I will be handing out lists and primers for mostly serious decks but also a few rogue decks (and if anyone could help me with decklists that would fit in the modified B/R meta please feel free to contribute. Also I'll need detailed primers if anyone could help with that).

Also if there are any old decks that get a boost from my unrestrictions (like if High Tide got a big enough boost out of Frantic Search being unrestricted) or completely new builds that people have ideas for please post them and maybe I could add them to the decklist/primer gauntlet. Anyway, I need a bit of help and input on this idea as quickly as possible so I can run the event in Mid-August.

Also for reference, here is the Bitter Ordeal list I will be handing out with a primer. This thread is not a plug for the deck, I just want people to know what I'm talking about. The idea is build as big of a gravestorm as you can (they can get huge, sometimes big enough to mess up a Fish deck but Fish is generally a bad matchup) and remove opposing win conditions:

Just comment on your bitter ordeal deck, splash red for greater gargadon. You could just float 3 mana then sack all your perms and play ordeal.

Good idea, I'll do that! I might be able to take out the MD deeds now. Does anyone have any ideas about this tournament concept? I really need help fast if this is going to happen. It has to be in mid-August because I'm leaving to Vancouver BC for film school on August 21.

I think just for kicks It would be interesting to see a Blue deck with only 1-of's outside of Force of Will.  It would be intresting to see how well does as sorta a base line against blue and non-blue decks.

@Harlequin: Funny, I did today the same as you, a deck with only 4 forces and only 1offs. Made a very similar list, only those changes:
-REB
-Pyro

+Thoughtseize
+Misdirection

and no red, but more drawspell like frantic search & Deep.

I think this would be very interessting, as it is also powerfull. This shows up, even if every bluespell is restricted (without fow) it is still playable.

I think I might have posted this in the wrong thread.  I thought this was going to be an MWS tournement (not a real one).  I mean it could still work, just take like your best control player and let them enter the event for free with restrictedblue.dec

Anyhow good luck.  With Gush off the list I would think that TSOath would be a solid choice (as opposed to a beats build).  I could come up with a list/primer.  Lurker would you want me to post it in the thread or PM it to you?

I feel like sideboard and manabase included, having Red in the deck gives you some more flexability.  Did you guys build a UB highlander sideboard?  What were your plans against Shops?   Also did you bend the rules with fetchs and duels when it came to a mana base?

It's my favorite 'fun play' list on MWS.  My differences are that (along with FoW) I have 2x underground sea, and 4x Tainted Pact.

It's alright, I'm not planning on throwing the actual tournament anymore since people seem to be interested in doing it online (which is also easier) and my state does not really have a hard committed vintage player base so it would be difficult and prizes would be difficult as well. Thanks for the offer though.
