I've been talking to a few guys about this and I think it would be a very strong card:

Recruiting Sargeant  {W}
Creature - Human Soldier
 {Tap}: add  {W} to your mana pool. You may use this mana only to cast creature spells.

No, that is a green ability. White don't got mana acceleration (unless it is some version of equalizer, read land tax rip of).

1. My first thought was that the mana should only help cast soldiers.
2. But really I agree with Vic, this really is out of white's color pie.
3. When I think of recruiting, it usually involves getting an extra creature from somewhere - Rebels-style tutoring, or possibly Selesnya Evangel-style token-making. As a weird third possibility, creature-stealing a la Preacher or that buyback white thing from Time Spiral.

That actually looks like a cool idea, although I think he should  be limited to putting soldiers onto the battlefield.

I like this much much more, although you should make it "You may put a creature card..." like Aether Vial. Every now and then, it's right to bluff!
