Building a TPS deck.

Well, there is going to be a tourney soon and I will play TPS, no proxies allowed.
I know how a TPS deck should look, but i miss 3 pieces, Mox Emerald/Pearl and Timetwister... now, my meta will probably have a lot of Fish decks and Elves (and some goblins/blue control/reanimator/etc)... its more like legacy with a couple of power here and there.

Due that i dont have 2 moxes and 1 timetwister this is how my deck looks right now:

Well, missing the 2 moxen and Twister is a really big problem, and i dont have time vault to do a steel city kinda deck.
As my meta will have tons of aggro i thought Massacre will be good (seeing mages and that kind of stuff all the time), Plagues for the Goblins and Elves (most concerning are the elves...) and crypts + leyline for reanimators and ichorid (its not a bazaar ichorid)

I was thinking about turning something bad, as missing the moxes into something good, adding basics (goblin, ichorid, fish, all of those run multiple wastelands)

Any advice/change?

I was planning on taking out the FoF and putting another basic (or cut the Misdirection for the basic)
And about the SB, maybe 1 less Rebuild/massacre/chain for an Infest.

why not try Ad Nauseam Tendrils instead? You can run Slaughter Pact in the SB for annoying creatures. The deck is really explosive and might actually be better than TPS is against Fish and random aggro jank.

windfall or wheel of fortune are reasonable replacements for timetwister.

why not try Ad Nauseam Tendrils instead? You can run Slaughter Pact in the SB for annoying creatures. The deck is really explosive and might actually be better than TPS is against Fish and random aggro jank.

Could be, does it run Dark Confidant? (because a friend of mine is going tu use them)... this is interesting, but i will have to find those chrome mox /thoughtseizes (i sold all my chromes and most of my seizes            :'(        )

Lets say i put Wheel of Fortune... how do i tweak the mana base?... im thinking about something like: -1 FoF + 1 Wheel, -1 Island + 1 Volcanic Island.

And maybe reading up on some articles mentioned in that thread created by Smmenen and myself. TPS is a very hard deck to convert to "budget"  I'd really suggest running ANT instead if you're having budget constraints and 0 proxies. Anyway, feel free to PM with questions on either deck as I've pioneert ANT and worked a lot on TPS.

massacre is less than good vs fish these days. gw has teegs, and anyone watching my old build just plays instant speed critters.

I'd suggest perish, infest, or hideous laughter--depending on what kind of fish you are expecting.

Perish is house vs G/W, G/W/B, and G/W/U. Infest is good vs all, and hideous laughter nails fae type fish best.

I'd run a darkblast somewhere.  It's good vs all those decks, while hitting bobs and welders.

Yep, i have read all that (actually, i have it bookmarked), Smmenen has been a great inspiration for me, and lately so have been you, you guys where my inspiration for searching P9's to create a TPS and keep looking for the other pieces to complete it.      ...the problem here is not the budget but the lack of power in the country as a whole. (i barely founded and imperial + grim a little while ago)

I was trying to see this TPS deck as a post-boarded version (as many TPS decks now run basics in the SB) and remplacing the missing moxes with basics, not only to make room in the SB, but also making my game against those fish decks that focus on land/artifact hate. (and im not limited by Ichorid in this meta, so no 8 anti-ichorid SB cards)

BUT, i do see your point, i will test ANT too, and if i can find the cards i need + get a hold on the deck, i could play it instead (I just love TPS )

Here Vintage is nothing more than a (expensive) hobbie, no mayor tournaments and stuff (its treated more like a casual format), here the only thing played its T2, extended and Legacy... its a shame, most of my vintage experience is online, reading about the game and stuff, and even then, i just wanted to play it for real... so, thats what i did, and was totally worth it!

There are some casual groups that stick to the vintage B/R list, but they dont read that much about the format and keep playing things like monobue control, etc (or adapt decks in other formats to vintage, like putting sol ring, mana vault, library of Alexandria, etc). Sometimes, maybe 1 or twice a year we get a T1 tournament... so its really something when that happens!           ....I would love to play at least once a month like you guys, even if the prices are not that good, i just want to play!

On topic = i will try to get the missing stuff i need for ANT, its a shame my local store closed for a month or two (remodelating), so i have to travel to get stuff... :S

I dont want to neglect this deck (TPS) while i find the cards for the other (ANT), because if im NOT able to get them, i will HAVE to play this (and i dont want to leave the disscusion/tweaking of this deck until its too late)

So, any other advice about this build?
