Get Your Game On is proud to announce the second coming of the Power IX. Welcome to the Vintage Battle.

Vintage is the oldest and most complex format available to Magic players as it uses the ENTIRE card pool from throughout Magic's history with only few restrictions. Players will now have access to the Power IX, as well as cards such as Library of Alexandria, Mana Drain, Mishra's Workshop, and Tinker. While these cards are now available to the players, a few have been deemed too strong for the game in it's entirety and have been labeled as "Restricted" in the format while fewer others are banned entirely. As restricted, cards are limited to one per deck. As banned, the cards are not allowed to be in the player's decks or sideboard in the tournament. Please check your cards with the most recent listings as per the DCI, found here:

http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Resources.aspx?x=judge/resources/sfrvintage

** PLEASE NOTE! AS STATED ON THE WEBSITE ABOVE, THERE HAVE BEEN CHANGES TO THE RESTRICTED LIST, EFFECTIVE JULY 2009 **

Get Your Game On will be hosting a 15-Proxy Vintage Event. As many of the cards used in the format cost upwards of $200 and are growing increasingly rare, the players are permitted to "proxy" UP TO 15 cards in their decks. A proxied card is to be identical in every way to a standard magic card, with the exception that it CLEARLY NOTES the properties of the card it is representing. This means that cards cannot feel, bend or weigh differently than any other card in the decks. If the Head Judge feels that your proxies are not to these specifications, we will ask you to use one of ours.
Proxies must include:
~ Casting cost of the card
~ Name of the card

**Please Note! The tournament will be held on a SUNDAY to avoid traffic from the Saturday home U of M Football game.**

Doors open at 11:30am, with registration for players at 12:00. GYGO will be requiring all Decks to be registered at this time as well. Entry is $20 for each person playing in the event.

Deck checks will take place at the beginning of the tournament, as well as completely randomly throughout the tournament.

DCI Head Judge for the tournament will be: TBA
The K-Rating for the event is: Non-existent as this tournament will be held using 15 Proxies.

Prize Structure at 30+ Players:
First Place: 1x Excellent Condition Unlimited Mox Ruby
Second Place: 1x From the Vault Exiled
Third & Fourth Place: 1x Underground Sea
Fifth Place: Phyrexian Dreadnought - NM
Sixth Place: Phyrexian Dreadnought - NM
Seventh Place: Phyrexian Dreadnought - SP
Eighth Place: Phyrexian Dreadnought - HP

***IN THE EVENT OF 50+ PLAYERS***
Ninth-Sixteenth: $20 Store Credit

Parking is found in the surrounding areas in the neighborhoods, and on the street in front of the store. Parking at meters in Ann Arbor is free after 6:00pm, and costs $.60 per hour before then. Check out the map attached in the pictures for the event for more details.

Dust em off and battle!  We Ride 9/20.

It looks like we'll have a large group of Clevelanders heading out to this shindig.  Who else is going?

Gentlemen!  The time has come for another battle!  The tournament for the Mox Jet is online, and can be found in the other tournament forums as it is a Legacy event.  Here is a copy of the post:

Another month has come and it's time we reveal our choice of the Power IX for October!

This month! Drop in, shuffle up, and throw down with Get Your Game On as we host the area's best Legacy players in an all-out battle for the Mox Jet!

Since there has been a constructed event for Magic: the Gathering, there have been decks that have performed to the peak of the game's potential. Powerful archetypes have risen and broken every rule set down in the game. Decks performing wild combinations of tricks and spells, while others led massive armies of powerful creatures to battle have come to fruition. The game has never stopped evolving and growing, and the players of the format have become known as some of the most savage in the game's history.

Legacy is known to many players as the pinnacle of competition in the game of Magic. Its players are renowned for their creative ability and innovation in every aspect of the game's rules.
