Today, our own "Mindstab Thrull"  shares his pre-release experience with you, during his feature article Studying at Alexandrias Library he'll try and give you guys a look into what the more casual player is like and what you need to get into different formats

So the Zendikar Prerelease came and went, and with it another opportunity to spend too much money and gain not enough packs. However, truth be told, Prereleases are the only constant tournament event in my life right now, and with any sort of tournament experience, a good player comes back learning a few things. And I did learn a couple things at the event, which I'm going to share with you now. This obviously will have an eye to Limited (specifically Sealed) play but skills quite often can be used straight or at least adapted to other formats.
