You mean worst Intuition, right? FoF would still be extremely strong if it onlyallowed 4 cards, no 5.

Yeah, I think Intuition is better. Certainly interesting, though.

This card is crap, and you can quote me on that.
Squee/Krovikan Horror/Cabal Therapy/Something Else would be funny, though.

Agree with Matt and Kl0wn. Besides that, the artwork is horrible.

Agree with Matt and Kl0wn. Besides that, the artwork is horrible. That's quite possibly one of the worst pieces of MTG art I've seen.

Is the art horrible? yes its almost Stasis level bad but I think the card has its uses. But you can't compare it to FoF or Intuition...this is a completely different animal I believe.

I like the art I don't like the name though. Could someone explain why It's "Gifts Ungiven" and not "Ungiven Gifts"?

4 FoF BBS used Fact or Fiction to keep the counters coming. I don't understand why everybody thinks this is so bad when it does the same thing. If you get FoW/Drain/Leak/Counterspell or Misdirection or whatever, you're going to get 2 Counters in your hand. And this costs the same as FoF, and you don't run the risk of hitting a bunch of land, and it's still instant speed. I'd like to see this tested in SmmenenBlue and see how it does.

I find the art to be pretty amazing myself. Then again, I liked Drew Tucker's work and I liked the artwork in Stasis as well . And I don't think that this card can be so easily dismissed. It does fetch you *two* cards, and in some decks I could envision this as a potent instant speed tutor. Let's not be so hasty and pass judgement on the card already...

I like the art I don't like the name though. Could someone explain why It's "Gifts Ungiven" and not "Ungiven Gifts"? there are different subtleties in each name. "Ungiven Gifts" is a very solid, declarative name. "Gifts Ungiven" just has a different feel to it, a little more mysterious, at least IMO. Try to imagine both names as the title of a movie and you'll see what I mean.

It really is the fact that the cards have to be different... otherwise... you could grab all 4 Squees, instead of the 3 you get with Intuition.

I don't know what you guys are smoking but the art is clearly the best I've seen in a LONG TIME. I appreciate the composition of it and the use of color. The figure has a palable emotion to her.
Why do you guys think it's bad? I really like it and want to know what's wrong about it. Also, please let me know who your favorite artists are (if you have any) and whether or not you like cubism. I mean this in a curious, non-mean way.

My favorite magic artists are Harold McNeill, Drew Tucker, and Henry G. Higgenbotham. My favorite artist is probably Magritte.
I think the picture is good but the artwork isn't. By whch I mean, if a different artist had done the exact same picture but in a different style, I'd like it a lot better.
This card is bad because you have to totally bastardize your deck to even use this thing, much less abuse it.

See, when I look at the art I think Picasso Blue Period, which I'm a big fan of. It's got a lot of emotion to it.

The card itself, I would rate as a "skilltester". It wants to be a good card, and some are going to play it as that. However, it isn't going to turn out all that great unless something really strange happens that lets it be abused.

My favorite magic artists are Harold McNeill, Drew Tucker, and Henry G. Higgenbotham. Higgenbotham only did 4 cards, didn't he? I think they were all pretty average even. But his sculptures ROCK though. And he has an amusing signature. -- Chris

[card]Voltaic Key[/card], [card]Cathodion[/card], [card]Worn Powerstone[/card], and [card]Claws of Gix[/card]. I get the impression that he built these things then took a picture of them, and maybe added a little Photoshop. That would mean that you could own actual Claws of Gix, not just a painting of Claws of Gix. And that would be beyond cool.
