Now that Numot is "final" I've turned my attention to a second list I've been brewing on MWS: Teneb, the Harvester.  Like my Numot deck, Teneb was chosen to match the colors I was interested in, though with GWB there is at least a choice.  Doran is nice, but I think Teneb is more my style, plus it's another wedge Dragon Legend, a good match for Numot.

General (1)
Teneb, the Harvester

Planeswalkers (5)
Ajani Goldmane
Elspeth, Knight-Errant
Garruk Wildspeaker
Liliana Vess
Sorin Markov

Artifacts (13)
Darksteel Ingot
Coalition Relic
Sol Ring
Sensei's Divining Top
Mind's Eye
Vedalken Orrery
Armillary Sphere
Sword of Fire and Ice
Sword of Light and Shadow
Behemoth Sledge
Loxodon Warhammer
Skullclamp
Umezawa's Jitte

Artifact Creatures (2)
Solemn Simulacrum
Duplicant

Creatures (22)
Emeria Angel
Krosan Tusker
Qasali Pridemage
Eternal Dragon
Shriekmaw
Wispmare
Reveillark
Wilt-Leaf Liege
Creakwood Liege
Deathbringer Liege
Academy Rector
Yavimaya Elder
Eternal Witness
Genesis
Seedborn Muse
Bloodghast
Enlisted Wurm
Nath of the Gilt-Leaf
Tolsimir Wolfblood
Teysa, Orzhov Scion
Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker
Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni

Sorceries (10)
Primal Command
Tooth and Nail
Demonic Tutor
Decree of Justice
Vindicate
Regrowth
Idyllic Tutor
Captured Sunlight
Kodama's Reach
Maelstrom Pulse

Instants (7)
Return to Dust
Sudden Death
Enlightened Tutor
Vampiric Tutor
Swords to Plowshares
Mortify
Putrefy

Enchantments (10)
Mirari's Wake
Aura of Silence
Phyrexian Arena
Survival of the Fittest
Necropotence
Recurring Nightmare
Debtors' Knell
Bloodchief Ascension
Faith's Fetters
Bitterblossom

Non-Basic Lands (15)
Fetid Heath
Wooded Bastion
Twilight Mire
Windswept Heath
Verdant Catacombs
Marsh Flats
Krosan Verge
Temple Garden
Godless Shrine
Overgrown Tomb
Murmuring Bosk
Savannah
Scrubland
Bayou
Reliquary Tower

Basic Lands (15)
4x Forest
5x Plains
6x Swamp

The deck is based on the claim that repeatable effects (Necropotence and Skullclamp in particular) are really good.  I'm pretty sold on the cards in the list right now, probably the card closest to being in (and it was in a previous iteration of the deck) is Nezumi Graverobber.  The list is powerful, but fair, is there anything super-obvious that I've missed?

EDIT: It occurs to me that I have Wrath of God and Damnation (from rewards) sitting in a binder.  I'm thinking I should put them to use over acquiring a Vindicate and Maelstrom Pulse.  Thoughts on that swap?

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

You could cut Recurring Nightmare for one of them.  It's in the list of suggested banned cards.

Wow, I am really horrible at following the rules.  I keep assuming EDH uses Vintage's banned list when it clearly doesn't.

I do think I want the two wraths in here over Vindicate and Pulse, but I'm going a different way in replacing Recurring Nightmare.  I want a game ender: Lord of Extinction should do the trick.  I may want a way to give him trample besides Warhammer and Sledge though.  Is there a slot for Brawn in here?

No Luminarch Ascnesion?

Bloodghast seems a little blah. I don't see any particularly strong combos with him, and starting at 40 means he'll get haste approximately never.

Luminarch Ascension is pretty non-bo with Phyrexian Arena and Necropotence.  It's probably better than Aura of Silence though, which I imagine draws about the same amount of hate.

Bloodghast used to combo with Recurring Nightmare, but it's also a great pitch to Survival, and clamps up nicely.

Speaking of 'clamp, as an alternative to running the 3x Lieges I'm thinking about Beastmaster Ascension instead.  The Ascension's bonus is a bit bigger, and not color-based, plus it affords me a little greater control over changing modes from 'clamp, 'clamp, 'clamp to 'rawr!  Thoughts on that?

I don't think you'll be losing any life from Arena or Necro very much with Ascension in play on your opponent's turns.
