The atmosphere at our tournaments is really open and competitive. We welcome all new players to the format. So here is the announcement for this special edition.

The prize support for this tournament is:
1st place Unlimited Black Lotus
2nd place Unlimited Timetwister

The prize structure has changed a bit and we will not be giving out boosters this time, we will be giving (Vintage staples or new fetches) single cards, possible additional prizes added based on attendance. Currently the setup looks like this:

3rd / 4th place: pick between 4x Misty Rainforest or 1x English Mana Drain
5th / 6th place: pick between 1x Tropical Island or 1x Volcanic Island
7th place: 2x Scalding Tarn
8th place: 2x Scalding Tarn

DISCLAIMER:
The prize payout for place 1-2 is GUARANTEED if the event reaches 50 players and will not change under any circumstances. If less than 50 players are registered for the main event the Black Lotus will be downgraded to a Mox Sapphire or Mox Jet (Please note that the average attendance is aroud 50 players during the first 9 events)

We hold the rights to change the setup for place 3-8 how we see fit at anytime during or prior to the event, changes will be applied based on availability and attendance.

Tournament Format: Non-sanctioned Vintage. (Up to 10 proxies are allowed.) Modified Swiss with single-elimination top 8.
Although this event is unsanctioned, it will be run at a Competitive rules enforcement level and deck lists are required.

Proxy Rules:
There are Two types of acceptable proxies for use in the Dutch Vintage tournament.
(Other Method’s must be approved by the judge after reviewing them before the tournament starts)
1) The first and most basic method is taking a basic land card and writes all details on the card.
2) The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that you want to proxy and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics (Cards can be erased with Acetone and a cotton ball).

All proxies must have the following text neatly printed, using a extra fine point sharpie. Ball point pens may not be used:
• The full name of the card (no abbreviations or nicknames)
• Correct casting cost of the card including all colored mana symbols
• All relevant/game effecting text (Oracle wording)

13 people already this is going to be an amazing event guys, I hope you'll all show up bringing your A game!, There will be room for other games (EDH, etc) as well at the venue if it isn't too packed, so there's really no excuse in leaving when you're out of contention.

We've got some players skip the GPT for GP Madrid just to attend this event (Awesome guys) and our current Dutch Champion will be attending as well. We've got 17 pre-registered along with some people from the Legacy scene crossing over. This is looking to have all the ingredients for the most awesome event to start the year off. I'll probably be judging this event instead of playing but feel free to come and chat if it's your first time attending, I'll bring some broken EDH piles to pass the time

That’s kind of complicated.

I play/ have played magic with several groups (when it comes down to magic it is 55% limited, 20% EDH and other multiplayer, 10% extended, 5% standard and 10% vintage for me), some were/are on my initiative, some I joined, there is also a lot of “overlap in players”. (sorry don’t know the English word)

Like a lot of people, creating names for a bunch of people who test/hang out is not really my style, I am a member of KVdeckmasters though, meaning that when I make top 8 people tend to say: “look, another KV’er made top 8”, but it is in no way connected to Vintage.

I know some member of the “Randstad Team(kliek if you will)” you referred to, see them selves as Dwarven Ponies. (At least I know they did at some moments/locations)

However, I f*cking hate horses even more than being called “lucky”, so that name is kind of out of the question when talking to or about me.

I believe in national glory (dutchies doing well in international events), and I do like to see a friend or a familiar face get better or doing well in a tournament, but beyond that I only have eye for my personal growth/performance.

I am currently also collecting souls of players (you'll never know when they come in handy) by beating them with Helix Pinacle, so far I am between 5 and 7.

Well that settles it then, you guys are the Randstad Team (clique) then! Still I enjoy the friendly rivalry some of you guys have with us from the Breda crew.

Thank god my personal record against you is 1-0 in my favor, I'm kinda fond of my soul right where it is... If you ever need some storage place, the RND vaults still have some spare room left, although we've been racking in massive soul counts of late.
