Substantial Growths
G
Instant
Choose up to two target creatures.  An opponent chooses one of them to get +2/+2 until end of turn, and then you choose one to get +1/+1 until end of turn.

If I were a legitimate Magic designer, I'm sure half my submissions would be mingame cards like this.  I'd be the Wario (or perhaps Waro?) of Magic card design.  This should work like Giant Growth if you have only one creature or if your opponent and you choose the same guy.  But if your two Runeclaw Bears are fighting his two Silvercoat Lions it's a blowout.

Help with a name would be appreciated.

Current Wording:
Gift of Growth
G

Call it "Gift of Growth" or I'll get you and your little dog, too.

It's too weak the way it is, you need 2 creatures and your opponent gets to screw you. I'd play Giant Grow before that, and we all know how good is Giant Grow.

I would propose a +3+3 and +1+1 and something else, like trample or can't be blocked by flyers, so the choice is harder.

It's already strictly better than Giant Growth, because you can always just choose one creature.  It's "up to two" not "two".  And Giant Growth is just fine; there's a reason it's one of very few cards from Alpha that is still in the core set.
