I kind of feel like making a deck on mws that revolves around getting Iona, Shield of Emeria and Painter's Servant out. I enjoy decks that lock out the opponent. So yeah. what ways are there to cheat creatures out into play? The only one I can think of is Oath of Druids. That doesn't seem very good though, considering if you get Painter's Servant out first it''s kind of a waste of an Oath trigger. Thanks to anyone who helps me out with information! Smile

Its more than enough to Oath up just Iona to lock opponent out.. No need for Painter, really. I mean, its hard lock of course, but then I would go for something like 1 Iona main + Living Wish for Painter.

It really sucks when you Oath of Painter 1st against Goblins or Fish or Confidant Tezzeret or Stax or TPS or ANT too  Sad

Try Terastodon and Hellkite Overlord (testing both).

Note that anything that can cheat Iona into play can also cheat other fatties over something "bad" like Painter's Servant.

Ie. I have a Legacy Sneak Attack deck that runs 4x Protean Hulk so I can just win at EOT off the Reveillark combo.

Any interest in putting together/maintaining a Github Git project that hosts proven decks of all major archetypes and documents their changes over time?

A Dredge shell? Dread Return can bring in Iona and Painter. But it's as senseless as it would be fun unfortunately.

Tooth and Nail costs a lot, but it does auto-win.  You can easily build a deck around it with a sizeable control package and possibly boseiju to make it uncounterable

its sort of funny how iona has made every other big dude win more...You would think that this guy begs to get played.

But Iona is simply better because its effect occurs the moment it hits play.
