Hola boys and girls!
so life is busy, and apparently Legacy staples are stupid expensive because of GP's. I have a ton of legacy cards that seem to have become redic expensive (duals, forces, LED's, bobs, w/e) and I want a new motorcyle

.
When is the best time for me to use my legacy staples to leverage the sale of (almost) my entire collection? The idea is to sell everything at once (power/5-10 dollar rares/etc) attached to my legacy stuff to a dealer for a one time payment. I don't have the time to part it out in playsets, and I certainly don't want to sll singles. I'd like to use my legacy crap to entice a dealer to make the offer sweet enough to get rid of everything at once for a fair price.
I'm not exactly up to date with magic, so is there a legacy GP I should be holding out for? Ideally I'll be selling to a NE dealer the second week of June - is that legit? The other option is for me to wait for the last two weeks of August. If I wait longer then that I'll be back in Texas or out of the country again, and I don't know any dealers I trust down here let alone oversees.
Also, what do you think a fair discount rate is for a bulk collection sale? I know what the cards of worth individually, but I don't expect anywhere near list. What is a reasonable discount rate considering I prob have about 3k in legacy stuff ($10+ cards) and a little power, another 2k in regular stuff ($8-$10 cards), and another 1k in bulk (~$5+ cards). Is is woth even trying to sell stuff in the 1-5 dollar range (birds, unmask, meddling mage, that kind of stuff)?
I'll prob also keep an intact deck or two so I can still play vintage if I get the bug, and I can always re-closet the collection and get a cheaper bike. Is selling now even a good idea? I'm not broke or anything, I just figured I'd jump on the legacy bandwagon.
Thanks in advance for the help,
