Horden Tendrils - 1st place
Having worked a lot on the latest Tendrils list, and being too lazy to sleeve up something else, I take my combo list to our local tournament.
Latest changes were adding Gifts and the 4th Bob, removing Imperial Seal and the lonely Thoughtseize. This change upped the blue count to 18 and the threat density. Unfortunately it also increased the average castingcost.

The sideboard is almost the same I already used in Annecy with a savage plan against MUD, some Dredge hate and a Tinker robot. Inkwell felt like it was the best option against everything I need a robot (mainly Fish). As the list doesn't sport a lot of disruption I want a creature that protects itself as much as possible.

Tournament starts with 21 players, a dissapointing turnout for a Mox tournament, but still ok for 5 rounds plus top 8. After the first round four Frenchies arrive who were stuck in traffic. They join in for the second round, so there are 25 players total.
1st round
Ralf Natterer - UBr Remora
I beat Ralf in the last tournament in top 8 by doing nothing but sit there and wait for his Confidants to kill him. Therefore now, Ralf is angry and hungry!

UB Remora is a horrible matchup for me. Almost like MUD, with the difference that I don't have any good stuff against it in my side. Anyways, with a little luck I can beat it.
He wins the die roll and leads with Mystic Remora. I basically die to that move. I try to resolve a Jar and something else, but he has all the answers. I stand no chance. A Vendilion Clique takes away another bomb and finally beats me down.
I board in Durees, Thoughtseize and Inkwell, out go two artifact massbounce and Bargain.
Second game Ralf mulligans to 6 and I resolve a Confidant. Still, he somehow manages to control my game and finally takes me down, again with a Vendillion Clique which he plays in resonse to something I do to resolve a bomb. Oh well.
0:1:0
2nd round
Marcus Quandt - UBg Tezzeret
Being team-mates, we ID. Anyways, even the winner of this match would need to continue winning the follwing rounds to reach top 8.
We play for fun, I lose.
0:1:1
3rd round
Andreas Neumann - UW Landstill
Andreas is 0:2 and out of contention, so he scoops to me.
We play for fun but quit at 1:1 to get some food before the next round starts.
1:1:1
Not a very impressive start. So from now on, it's all or nothing. TENDRILS TIME!
4th round
Jens Kessel - Noble Fish
Jens starts with 6 cards, and I resolve a 1st turn Necropotence.
Second game I work towards a Tinker and resolve it 3rd round.
2:1:1
5th round
Tobias Hesser - RGW Hate
He leads with Null Rod (I force) and a Canonist followed by a Teeg. Tough time. I am able to block the Teeg with a Confidant, and bounce the Canonist for the win.
Second game he just clogs me up with ugly bears and stomps me.
Third game my deck gives me the gift of a first turn win (Lotus, Rituals and Demonic).
3:1:1
So I reach top 8 in 7th place after swiss.
Quarterfinals
Daniel Scherer - Dredge
Daniel is someone I love playing against. Wether I lose or win, it is always very funny

Unfortunately I lost most of the matches we had in the past.
And of course, I lose the die roll and mulligan to 6. Daniel starts with a 7 card hand, having used Powder once, doing what Dredge does first turn. My hand is not very good, but at least I have a Confidant and so I play it. Daniel continues dredging, attacks with 2 Ichorids and prepares a winning next turn. Facing 6 Zombies and a much/much Troll I reveal the Confidant card: Tinker. I play it into Jar and activate, draw into some mana and Will, play Will, replay Jar and activate again with one black mana floating. Next 7 are Chain of Vapor, Demonic, Mox, Anc. I Demonic for Lotus and Ancestral finally gives me a Ritual and Tendrils. Phew!
I board in my dreadge hate pack: 4 Waste/Strip and 3 RavTrap
Out go 4 Force of Will and 3 Confidants
Second game he mulls to 3 and leads with Bazaar and Chalice zero. Not too bad. My mullugan to six resulted in a hand with Trap and some business. On my first turn I topdeck Wasteland, nuke his Bazaar and trap aways his grave after his dredge activation. I win a few turns later.
Semifinals
Stefan Benisch - Oath
Both games, he doesn't do much. I resolve a Confidant in the first, but he has no Oath and I desire for 7. Second game he has Oath, but I bounce it and desire for 7 again the turn before he can activate it.
Finals
Fabian Moyschewitz - MUD
Hardest matchup last. Fabian plays on his BoM winner playmat.

We do the most important thing first: the die roll! I lose and mulligan to 6 on top of that. Lucky me, he leads with Ancient Tomb, Chalice zero and passes. I play ritual into Necropotence, draw 9. He plays Golem, I have no force. On my turn I Tinker for Jar and Time Walk, take another 5 from Necro. Walk turn I play Cabal Rit for 5, play Demonic and activate Jar in response. Jar gives me the mana I need, and Demonic searches Hurkyl's. I bounce his board and follow up Sapphire and Mystical for Will. His hand is discarded and he has nothing to stop my winning turn.
Time for the most savage sideboard plan I ever brought in against MUD: 4 Strip, 2 Hurkyl's, 3 EFlux
Out go: Necro, Bargain, Twister, Gifts, 2 Dark Ritual, Desire, Mystical and Vampiric
Fabian leads with Lotus (proxie), Chalice zero which I force because I have Anc and Petal, and Golem. On my turn I ancestral into nothing relevant. He plays another Golem and stomps me.
Third game I opt to start and play Swamp, Mox, Crypt, Demonic for EFlux. He plays Golem. I play Island, Flux, Lotus and Confidant. He pays for his Golem with his tomb and passes. I reveal the Confidant card: Wasteland. He scoops.
So finally I win the Demonic Hordes winner card. Basically, I don't care about the Mox.
Thanks to everyone who helped develop this list, especially my team mates for the countless hours of MUD testing, and also Fabian and Daniel who also tested with me the Dredge and MUD sideboard (they did that in preparation of Annecy, and obviously did a good job

).
Cheers!
