There was some talk about changing my schedule to work every Sunday after next week, but if that doesn't happen I'll be all over this.

If you have the chain of mini-mart's called 7-11 out there, you can go to one and get a free slurpy on 7-11.  It's true.  Who wouldn't want a slurpy while slinging cards?

I'm going to be at this one, probably bringing some folks along for the ride.

Let's get those attendance figures up! I've been tearing up every tournament I've been to in the past few months but nobody's noticing because they've all been <20 people. I don't even make it into Steve's metagame stats!

If I take a bus to Boston, can anyone give me a ride between Boston and Bridgewater?  Um, and back after the event?  I don't fancy driving 2.5 hours each way, though I haven't ruled it out.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

I'm guessng that the bus takes you into South Station. From there you can take a commuter rail to Bridgewater. The station is still far enough away from the venue that you'd want a ride, but that would probably be easier to get if nobody can get you from Beantown.

What time?  If I end up not being able to make it to jujitsu, I can pick you up (trying to work out logistics with other people).  I live a mile from south station.

The bus situation:
There's a 5AM bus that would get me to South Station at ~7:05.
The buses back north leave at 4:15 or 5:15 PM from South Station.  If the event really starts right at 11:30 those departure times will likely be fine.  And there's an emergency 11:15 PM bus too, just in case.

The train situation (which goes to North Station, but I could walk to South Station, not a problem):
There's a 6AM train that would get me to Boston at 8:25.
The trains back north leave at 5PM and 6:25 PM.

Let me know if this is doable, thanks Bill.

If transportation is an issue I can help...Just mail me your entry fee and I'll take pictures for you! (Cash Only)

But if you insist on going and live in the Brighton area I should be able to help.

Andy Probasco was first with Dredge, I was second with Mono-Brown Stax.  Was a good event.  Thanks as always for running it Eric.

A good tournament for all, despite Scrubbing out hardcore had a great time for my first tournament back in a long time.  Look forward to seeing you folks at the next one. (And I'll try not to play like such a nub next time)

Congrats, Andy!  I 'm happy that my top 8 game 2 punting helped propel you into 1st place  Very Happy  Anything less would be highly unsatisfactory.

Thanks to everybody for showing up, it was great seeing y'all. And extra-extra thanks to ELD for continuing to support vintage!

Great tournament, I had a good time.  Thanks to Eric for organizing it, and Bill and Arik for ferrying me between Scholar's and North Station.

The deck I played, New England Aggro, generated some interest, so now that it's debuted I wrote it up here.  I felt on the razor-edge of winning each of the rounds I lost (except against Andy, obviously).

Thankfully Oli was not killed by the falling fan, though I would probably have made top 8 in that case.
