Former Team-Pataners.com founder and writer Jordi Amat (aka piZZero) and I have launched a new site focusing on the Eternal formats (Legacy and Vintage), appropriately named Eternal-Central.com. We're migrating most of the old content from TP over (including videos, reports, articles, etc.), and I've already written a few new articles for the site.

Jordi and I will be joined by fellow Eternal player Benjamin Guillerm (aka Watanabe), who is a well known player and writer in the French community (his GT Team were the major culprits behind Selkie Fish development in Europe), and will also be joined by Spanish stalwart Juan Vilar (aka Troin), a top ranked Spanish player who loves all constructed formats, especially Eternal ones. We hope to bring you all of the latest Eternal news, rumors, metagame analysis, articles, videos, and more.

My question to you TMDers is what exactly do you want to read? Are you looking for in-depth matchup and play by play analysis? Are you looking for metagame analysis, sideboard options, breakout deck technology, or what exactly? What strikes your fancy when read Vintage or Legacy articles, and what will keep you coming back for more? Please let me know with your comments below, as we hope to bring you the best content that you want to read. Thanks!

I read forums for people's play theories, card choice theories, sideboard theories, and their own Magic: The Gathering theories in general. I try to give people just that in my tournament reports and my posts.

I will be checking in regularly!  Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Here is a a topic I think will create a pretty good amount of feedback/conversation:

How do I play Magic?  When I ask this, assume I already know how the rules, phaes of the turns, how the stack works....etc.  I want you to teach me how to play vintage magic, competitively speaking of course.

I want to know the in general tricks, or rules of thumb, associated with learning the ropes of Type 1. I guess a good way of looking at this would be, if a type two player asked you to teach him all the nuances of the format in a nutshell.

Example: You play around Wasteland. Why? Playing blindly into a wasteland on turn one can lead to a game loss.  my example may not be correct in the sense of playing, but it's of the nature of what I am asking.

I asked this in the vintage Q&A mainly because it would be cool to see a comprehensive "handbook" so to say for vintage. So, being able to read through this would be awesome.  Maybe you have an idea of what I am getting at...

I recorded around 40 videos at the MTG BARATO tournament. Most videos are from Top8 games, but some are random games from random rounds with interesting decks. I believe watching people play outside the top8 is interesting for many different reasons.

I'm quite loaded with work atm, and I wish I had lot more time to spend. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to release a couple of videos, so, stay tunned to EC!

Cheers,

piZZero - Jordi Amat

**EDIT**

Forgot to mention that a LvL 3 Judge with a lot of experience at important eternal tournaments (BOM, Eurovino, GP Madrid) has joined the EC crew and will have a colum twice a month where he'll answer all the questions people might have regarding rules, cards, situations, etc...

 Wink

Tonight I'll edit the G3 of the Oath vs Jacerator match and tomorrow morning will be online. After that, I'll start with the Legacy & Vintage Top8 videos.

Btw, did you see the Goblins vs MUD video? I call that "weapons of mass destruction"! xD

Cheers,

Vintage content.

A link from TMD to there for new/relavent content for the time being would be great, until we, on our own, bookmark your site and check it whenever.

For example, it took me a LONG time to realize that www.Morphling.de was a great resource to myself.

I love to discuss Magic theory, including comparing the benefits of card to card comparisons, deck strategys, and my favorite: the banned and restricted list.

Just saw the additional videos you've loaded, thanks!  Keep them coming!

Also, you could try to get in touch with the guy running MTGBuzz.com, that way readers wouldn't have to blindly check your site to see if anything's new.  Ask to replace StarCityGames forums, since the aggregator is catching everything that happens on that forum (the current breakdown of topics there is: 4x Advanced Search, 2x What's New?, 2x View Forum Posts, 1x Today's Posts, and 1x Mark this Forum as Read).

Hey, sorry about the SCG forums issues, they switched over to a new version of vbulletin and don't seem to have the rss plugin enabled. I temporarily replaced them with Eternal Central until I can load SCG forums into Yahoo Pipes or they decide to enable their rss feed.

No need to apologize, I saw that SCG stopped really working when they did their forum update.  Thanks for taking action!
