The last N.Y.S.E. Lite was a tremendous success, with 23 players showing up for the main event.  The prize for this event is tentatively listed as a Library of Alexandria.  It will be confirmed as soon as possible.  Second place, and all other prizes, will be added with additional entrants.
The Library is guaranteed at 12 entrants, a second place prize will be guaranteed at 16 players and it will most likely be a blue dual land.  Something along the lines of blue fetches (Scalding Tarns or Misty Rainforests) will be guaranteed to 3rd and 4th at 20 entrants.
Side events will be available, and will start as soon as we have 8 entrants.  They will be single elimination.

Here's the info:

So the prize support is now confirmed, and is as such:

At 12 entrants a Library of Alexandria is guaranteed.

At 16 entrants a second place prize of a Revised Tropical Island is guaranteed.

At 20 entrants a third and fourth place prize of one Flooded Strand each is guaranteed.

If we hit 24 entrants there will be additional upgrades, probably to 3rd/4th.  If we come close to 30, the prize support will be extended all the way down to the top 8.

This event is coming up this weekend - and there's something I wanted to add on.

Comicbook Depot's owner, Alan Paperin, has a daughter who suffered from a rare heart defect when she was born.  Luckily it was caught in enough time that several surgeries and years later, Kaylee Paperin could resume life as a happy, healthy kid.

I lost one grandfather to heart disease and another to a heart attack.

Alan is raising money for the American Heart Association, and I wanted to try and incorporate this in the event.  The first side event (and all other side events for the tournament) will be $10 entry for an 8 man pod with a Volcanic Island going to first place.  The rest of the money that is collected there is going to be donated to the American Heart Association.

Additionally, Depot is doing a raffle - $5 per ticket - for a $100 gift certificate.  I would encourage everyone who is coming down on Sunday to participate and help fund the research that may one day save your life.

If you want more information, here's the site for Kaylee's Heart:

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!

We had 13 show today.

Mike Bauer's UR Painter/Grindstone took down Brian Paskoff's BUG Fish in the finals.

Thanks to everyone who showed up!
