Based on the infos I gathered and the following Spoiler list from mtg salvation it seems there's a new cycle of artifact lands coming with scars. Could it be the rumored legendary artifact lands? Or will this only be a reprint of Seat of the Synod and friends like WotC did with the mana-myr?

A artifact tolarian Academy would Be nice  Wink

What would Be possible?

Artifacts dual lands Smile

Seriously, artifact lands would make the new Metalcraft keyword affinity-like. T1 Artifact land, Voltaic Key, Mox Opal. T2 Artifact Land, drop Ezuri's Brigade onto the battlefield as an 8/8 Trample.

Legendary Artifact lands could be ok, I suppose.

Personally I was taken a little by surprise to see plain old Basic Lands on the SoM spoiler.  Srsly, is that a confirmed piece of the spoiler?  I don't read the books, I know that the Fifth Dawn supposedly brought a weird new mana to Mirrodin, blah blah blah... but there should at least still be some places still totally coated in metal, amirite?  I definitely want to see a new artifact land cycle, if for no other reason than I'm the kind of doucher that still brings Affinity to Legacy tournaments haha.  Anything that offers itself to Affinity's manabase in a way that obviates Glimmervoid and Darksteel Citadel would give me the sizzles

EDIT - for some odd reason I thought I was posting in Gen Discussion.  If this should be moved since I tend to talk more about Legacy than Vintage, I totally get it!

Since the previous cycle of artifact lands ended up being banned in Block and Standard, I would be surprised if they returned. That said, Ravager was my favorite Standard deck of all time and would be exciting about playing that format again if something like that were viable.

On pro tour Amsterdam was a artwork that reminds of Ish Sah, the vault of whisper. So we might Return to those places? Lumengrid, Tel-Jilad, Kuldotha and Taj-Nar would complete the cycle

I think Legendary artifact lands will happen. The reason for this is Mox Opal's legendary status combined with its metalcraft ability.

In essence, the 5 legendary artifact lands become metalcraft moxen fodder

Instead of:
Mox Ruby
Mox Emerald
Mox Jet
Mox Pearl
Mox Sapphire

We will have
Blue Legendary Artifactland
White Legendary Artifactland
Black Legendary Artifactland
Red Legendary Artifactland
Green Legendary Artifactland

Which all help Mox Opal's Metalcraft (without having to run memnites and thopters)
It makes sense, because Mox Opal taps for every color. The flavor on Mox Opal reads:
"The suns of Mirrodin have shone upon perfection only once." Certainly gives me a Lord of the Rings type feel:

One Mox to rule them all, One Mox to find them,
One Mox to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

its sort of a way to have moxen in standard like we have in the eternal formats without having access to all 5 of them (legendary status).

Wow I'm thrilled thinking about them having metalcraft As well.

A Tree of Tales with metalcraft that gives all creatures +1/+1 if you controll 3 or more artifacts

A vault of whisper that could produce an extra black mana by tapping if there a 4 or more artifacts

A seat if the synod that Turns into a emeria for artifact

Etc.
