Another great tournament in Richmond, Virginia, this time for a Time Walk!  These are always a lot of fun (see references to Capital Ale House and the bar next door), and should be even more challenging now that Mr. Type Four, Paul "Sculptini" Mastriano, has migrated to Northern Virginia.  You should be here!

When:
October 30
Registration starts at noon
Round one starts at 1 p.m.

Where:
Richmond Comix
14249 Midlothian Turnpike
Midlothian, VA 23113
(804)594-2845
richmix@richmondcomix.com

What:
15-proxy Vintage!
$25 entry fee

Prize breakdown follows:

28 players

1st Time Walk
2nd Grim Tutor
3rd Tundra
4th Tundra

5-8 chooses one of the following based on rank.

Phyrexian Dreadnought
Show and Tell (Korean)
Chalice of the Void x2
Flooded Strand and Marsh Flats

18 players

1st Grim tutor
2nd Underground sea
3rd Tundra
4th Tundra

5-8 chooses one of the following based on rank.

Phyrexian Dreadnought
Show and Tell (Korean)
Chalice of the Void x2
Flooded Strand and Marsh Flats

12 players

1st Tundra x2
2nd Underground Sea
3rd Tundra

Where are we going afterwards?  Capital Ale House, which has some good food and a 21-page beer menu.  Also, there is a bar next to the venue.

I hate to miss this one as these tournaments are always such a good time.  But I'll be on the beach in Hawaii on my honeymoon that week.  On the other hand if you pushed it back a week......  Wink

Someone should probably link this event to the calendar.  I don't know if anyone else looks at the calendar, but I do from time to time - especially so I don't miss events that are happening in other regions.

I've never been to one of these, but I'm excited about a Vintage event in my new backyard.

If all else fails, I'll be joining you all at Cap Ale and perhaps with the wife! See you all then!

The real goal here is to win your first 3-4 rounds so that you can draw the last round and go to the bar next door, do some shots then come back for the top 8 with a nice buzz.

That seemed to be a VERY popular choice in our last event.

I, uh... I don't remember the T8.

Anyway, there should be a good turnout for this.  We'll have several coming down from DC, including a couple of Ohioans who will be staying with me.  If you're in the area and can make it to this event, I recommend you do so!

Ugh, Ohioans.  Why can't they stay in their own state?  I'll bring my kilt and claymore to help you guys defeat those pesky Ohio folk.

I'm planning on playing this time out, barring something happening (like my brother asking me to help him move that day).

Nice!  I would also recommend you (and others) joining us for dinner afterward.  See you there!

Won't be able to make it this time around.  I'm off to play Standard/Legacy in Charolette.  Brings me within spittin' distance of the invitational in December, so it's worth it.

Have fun guys!

We had a pretty good play testing session last weekend. I learned that my deck is terrible. I can't wait to play!

Steel Hellkites could be everywhere at this event.

Last night, one of them ate a Mindslaver.

Paul, your deck makes me happy.  I have a love affair with Metalworker, I just have to keep it secret.  People here are notorious anti-Metalites.  It's sad, really.

I had an awesome time at this event as well. I was the one who got 8th with Oath. It was awesome to see a list with Magus of the Moon AND the Hexmage/Depths combo place 3rd!

It was nice playing against and meeting people I have been reading about over the years....Paul and Nat Moes. Please do another one of these soon!
