I moved to Colorado a few years back and was informed by many of my Ohio magic playing friends that Colorado has a great Vintage scene.  And I do believe that is the case.  The first time I showed up at Black Gold I was warmly welcomed by Carl and the other players there.  I really appreciate the events that Carl puts on as I know he truly has a love for the format.  I'm pretty guilty in that I have not made it out there in a few months due to multiple reasons, sometimes I forget when the events are and sometimes the weather is too nice to justify me being indoors anywhere.  It has nothing to do with  Saturdays vs. Sundays.

In short, I will be returning to playing magic regularly as the weather is about to turn and I'm looking forward to that.  I have no issues with proxy vs nonproxy.  When I first started playing out here I thought I would dislike nonproxy as I don't own any power.  In fact the exact opposite happened, I found it quite interesting.  You get to play against some pretty strange decks and I found that exciting.

Just for Reference this Ben K. all the Boulder guys know me and I think most of the Black Gold guys know be by now as I have attended most of the recent vintage events.

First of all, I just want to say thanks to Carl for running these tournaments. I know sometimes it must seem like a thankless job, but I do enjoy attending your tournaments.

Secondly, Saturdays are no good for me, which was why I was not able to attend. I work pretty much every Saturday but my work is closed on Sundays, making Sunday much better for me. I know I might be in the minority on this, but that's just how my schedule works. I will still do my best to attend Saturday events, but no guarantees.

Finally, I much prefer proxy events. As some one who is relatively new to vintage, I have to say it is a very complex format. I'm trying to learn the in's and out's of different decks and their match-ups. It is completely counter-productive for me to then have to worry about basically another format within a format: namely the format that consists of the cards I own (or can borrow). I think anywhere from 10 - 15 proxies is sufficient.
