 Preator's Counsel  {5} {G} {G} {G}

Sorcery

Return all cards from your graveyard to your hand.
Exile Preator's Counsel.
You have no maximun hand size for the rest of the game.

{4} less and it would've been a green Yawg Will but better.
Is this even worth trying out with Dream Halls or any Mind's Desire.dec ?...

It's not Blue enough [/snark]

More seriously, if you can cheat the cost a lot, then it's gonna be a doozy of an effect.  I suspect it will be restricted in due course, if only for the empty graveyard effect.

Discussion of the B&R list is against the rules so I do not want to derail this thread.  I will say that no card with a CMC > 6 is currently on the B&R list.

Before we jump to restriction, can we think of any viable uses for this?  How can we cheat him into play?

One option that occurred to me is to Oath up Rasputin and Recoup this guy, but I do not see how that would be any better than Yawg Will.

Any other ideas?

As far as Vintage is concerned this might as well cost eleven billion mana.  It's not going to be played.

Elves can make enough mana to hard cast it.  Would they want to?

At first, when reading Ten Ten original post, I though it was  {G} {G} {G} to get an effect even better than yawmoth will.
Damn company web browser which didn't display the "5 colorless mana" symbol.
I was even going to reply to Klep with a lot of arguments, from lotus cobra to elvish spirit guide, to explain that this could be huge.

In the end, for 8 mana (3 of them being {G}), it seems less promising Sad

The issue is that if you think you can crank out massive sorceries, you have to justify casting something other than Banefire or Time Stretch.  Ie. Spellweaver Helix + Sharuum + a single Time Stretch + 4x Cabal Therapy.

Elves can make enough mana to hard cast it.  Would they want to?
Especially since they could probably Tendrils for lethal at that point instead.

You'd get much better return by casting Regal Force though right?  What's likely to be in your graveyard that you really want besides Glimpse, possibly the new Green Zenith, and Black Lotus?

Edit: Forgot Green Zenith gets shuffled in if it resolves.  I suppose it could be in your graveyard if it got countered, but that wasn't the spirit of what I meant at the time.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Here's a better kill: Sharuum, Spellweaver Helix, and Preator's Counsel.  Counsel + the remaining Cabal Therapies and Black Lotus is an infinite loop of Time Walk effects.  Blightsteel (when in your hand) is your Therapy target.

This takes you to only one truly dead card main.
I take back what I said.  This is probably an improved kill for the Hermit Druid deck.

Well, if you consider the Hermit Druid deck viable...
